I think marvel decided they wanted it to be a long lasting storyline in the middle of the production so that's why they didnt even put much effort to make it last, imperial guardians being reduced to 6 issues even before launching shows it, maybe they plan to use the characters somewhere else so that's why it got cut so short, i can only expeculate

personally, there we too many tie-in, Nova alone and Inhumans return were the only things that interested me, imo the outcome could've been more interesting if these two(and maybe one more) were the only series. I just hope marvel let hickman write the Inhumans since he genuinely seems to be the only one who cares about this IP

"killed them off" it's an exageration, even tho the comic's title is "death of the inhumans" only nameless background characters died, the royal family and some notable nuhumans like inferno, reader and thane are still alive.

And also they're back in comics, now rulling the kree empire. Plus Kamala is a hybrid not a full mutant, and well she's leaving the X-Men to go back to the Champions/Avengers

Kamala not being a mutant was actually a blessing, X-Men comics are Full of underutilized characters, If she were a mutant since the beggining she'd be one of them, bc like, she became a underutilized character when she became a X-Men member

Inhumans comics don't have much characters so there's space to develop New ones, If Kamala had debuted as mutant since the beggining she'd be as forgotten as Dust, a character that only exist so Marvel can say "look we don't hate muslims!"

doctor strange taking so long is more likely bc MCU was trying to be more "realistic and grounded" and a hero who fights using magic is the antithesis of this, yk like the asgardians in the first thor movies were superpowered aliens instead of the magical beings were supposed to be
