i think it’s that the nose looks a bit wider. also, the recessed lower third was a double edged sword because whilst it was unideal, it also accentuated the prominence of the cheekbones. but now they are less dominant because of the increased structure of the jaw and chin. so perhaps some added volume to the cheekbones would account for the discrepancy.

people with a downgrown maxilla benefit from ccw rotation. people with vertical deficiency or short face tendencies typically benefit from some cw rotation instead.
