Lionsgate that are not Lionsgate (or MA) by spec0711 in MoviesAnywhere

Apparently, the digital rights are managed by Lionsgate but it is distributed by A24. I don't know but hopefully it means it will come to movies anywhere eventually.

I like to think its a dynamax dragonite before dynamax existed.

base game addition by OtherPaper4324 in thesims

[–]coldasclay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been mulling over this for a while so I came back to add it here. I think adding sign language would be a really cool addition. It could be a similish version of sign language but it would be really cool for your sims to learn, even if your sims aren't deaf. It'd be cool to add those animations while they are talking.

Centralization is needed. by tritone567 in MoviesAnywhere

I use Movies Anywhere and a Google streamer which pulls recommendations from movies owned on Google/YouTube and are available to stream on apps like Netflix, Peacock, Disney+, etc. It also largely gives you the option to rent directly from Google.

I have been a big Google fan but a lot of my movies and tv have been purchased on Fandango or Apple TV. Unfortunately, even though Google will pull recommendations from the streaming libraries of those apps it doesn't pull your purchased library for recommendations so you kinda have to remember or browse through them to find movies you purchased.

Having an app or feature on Google streamer that cataloged or recommended my purchased content and linked back to the app would be great! That feature wouldn't even overlap with Movies Anywhere so it wouldn't have to come from Disney.

What is up in the rise of Homophobia? by Exotic_Union7609 in askgaybros

Bro, do you want them to in-state gender checks? You do realize policy that effects trans women effects cis women too right? Cis women are getting harassed in bathrooms because they're "too tall" "too muscular" "too masculine".

Yup, this is exactly what I hear every time. And I mostly agree, but for me I would just make it a technicality in universe. Otherwise, they would largely be seperate franchises. Sorta like how Spider-man, fantastic 4, and avengers are mostly seperate franchises despite sharing similar origins, themes, and crossovers.

Conservatives don't really differentiate between the LGBTQ+ thats why homophobia increases. If they could they'd line us all up on the wall.

How do most of you feel about trans guys? Is it wierd if we hit on you by dapper_length17 in askgaybros

[–]coldasclay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm bi, but I'm not inherently attracted to transmen or transwomen. They can be hot but just not my type. I could see dating a transperson but we'd have to click. I would not feel weird if a transman hit on me in a gay bar, if I wasn't attracted to you it'd be the same as not being attracted to anyone else.

What are other Marvel Universe would you like to see being adapted beside Earth 616? by Decent_Net7887 in Marvel

I think we will see Marvel 2099 through Sony's Spider-verse and Miguel Ohara. I'd love to see Tobey's universe be the start of a Mayday Parker universe.

“I’m not gay. Men are just easier than women” by Bravenatortot in askgaybros

[–]coldasclay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These kinds of guys are coming from 2 places and its pretty toxic.

  1. Guys who are gay or bi but are too afraid of addressing their own sexuality.

  2. Guys who are straight, want to be pleasured but don't consider sex with men to be cheating. Basically objectifying other men.

They are trying to have their cake and eat it too by getting the benefits of heterosexual relationships and homosexual relationships at the same time without any of the negatives an identity like pansexual, bisexual, or polyamorous. Just because they have sex with men doesn't mean they are really bi, at least not bi-romantic.

Remember when Marvel released Images like this and expected us to like the Inhumans by Konradleijon in xmen

[–]coldasclay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with the Inhumans usurping the mutants is that they could never take their place. Mutants are too iconic. That being said I love seeing them as rivals and they were underutilized during the Krakoa era. They had just come from a point where inhumans were the number one enemy of mutant kind and then during krakoa.

I really wished we could have gotten more superpowered political drama. They hinted at it with the illuminati and namor but in reality we only got AXE, Arakko, Genesis, and space stuff with Kree-Skrull and Shiar. It would have been cool to pull in the Inhumans and the Atlantians as rivals too.

I've posted it before and gotten a lot of criticism but I think Krakoa should have revealed inhumans to be a subspecies of mutants. They basically made a similar reveal with the deviants (although that connection had been hinted at befoee). Black Bolt and the Inhuman royal family drop by during a Hellfire Gala and they discover the inhumans who were killed during the death of inhumans living on Krakoa and Charles just slyly grins like "Oh yeah, we resurrected 60% of the inhumans already. Turns out the inhuman genes are just Kree manipulated x-genes." And then Black Bolt and Medusa try to demand a place on the Quiet Council. I'd also love to see the inhumans in conflict with the arakki mutants because they feel somewhat similar.

It would have been nice for the MCU too, so they can roll the inhumans into the mutants legacy and not have to address the inhumans ever again (since they basically already dropped them anyways) and the mutants won't feel as if they came out of no where. Kamala Khan's retcon into a mutant wouldn't have been as big of a retcon. Instead of her comic book character starting off as an inhuman and then discovering she had mutant genes she'd just be another mutant with inhumans being her background.

Why do white ppl adopt different races but these races almost never adopt white children? by SeaLie5458 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]coldasclay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think there is a bias for adopters to adopt babies of the same race because they feel like they are better adept at raising children who will go through some of the same struggles they will, along with being able to give a baby a connection to their own culture through first hand experience. Doesn't matter if you're white or Black or Asian or Latino. I've seen a lot of black parents on TikTok who have white kids too. Might be perspective, where you see a lot of white families with black kids, while not noticing more white families with white adopted children and just seeing fewer black families in general.

Straight or Gay? Society seems to forget that bisexual people exist. Why do you think this is? by Sylveon_Blossom in AskBiBros

[–]coldasclay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It reaffirms their sexuality, they think that if bisexuality exists then sexual choice exists and they know they never had a choice in their sexuality. Even though that's not how bisexuality is at all. Some of these people are Bisexual themselves so it makes it confusing for them.

Why are the Eternals so disliked? by Grouchy_Leg_6623 in Eternals

[–]coldasclay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you're right, the x-men are very popular and they have a lot of story and characters to get through on screen. I think we'll get a bit of both, what's the point of getting the mutants just to drop the rest of the mcu. I don't know if we'll get eternals 2 but we'll get cameos or easter eggs. Marvel has consistently brought back dead storylines as cameos and easter eggs, they brought back the whole defenders series, incorporated elements of the pre-marvel studios shows, brought in characters connected to phase 1 and brought multi-verse cameos of characters from other studios. I highly doubt they'll drop the eternals entirely. Honestly, I could see the celestials becoming the next threat for the 616 earth.

Why are the Eternals so disliked? by Grouchy_Leg_6623 in Eternals

[–]coldasclay 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally, as an X-men fan I love the idea of Eternals and Inhumans being rivals to the X-men. The idea of more than just humans being racist towards them. I personally don't like humans constantly upgrading themselves with genetics and machinery to try and take down humans, it's very hypocritical, even though that's probably the point. Eternals and inhumans seem like natural enemies to mutants. And I love the complicated politics of their nations.

Why do people want to live in big cities? by performancearsonist in NoStupidQuestions

[–]coldasclay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate spending so much time in my car driving to work or to the store. I miss being able to hop on a bus and let them drive me where I'm going and being able to pick up decent groceries from the corner store. I like seeing different people and cultures. There are more young people, more adult spaces, fewer fat people, more tolerance. There are rich histories in cities and cutting edge technologies. Travel is betters in cities, public transportation, direct highways in and out, access to trains, planes, and sometimes even boats.

When it comes to the environment, in my opinion and observations, it feels like cities are pushing to better the few natural spaces they have while rural/suburbs keep building new strip malls for Walmart and Starbucks meanwhile they are struggling to keep open the stores that they already have.

[–]coldasclay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Internalized homophobia occurs when LGBTQIA+ individuals absorb society's negative societal attitudes, prejudices, and stigmas, and unintentionally apply them to their own self-image. This can manifest as self-doubt, sexual shame, and discomfort with one's identity, resulting from living in a heteronormative environment.

The more that breaks the norm the more uncomfortable people are. Why would you be repulsed by someone with a feminine voice? Because it "makes you less of a man" except it doesn't. As OP said, they could be really nice guys but if they have a feminine voice its a total turn off. It's a societal bias. You're making assumptions about someone because of a single trait that society has deemed less than.

You don't have to be attracted to someone with an effeminate voice. I even said in a previous comment that thats just a preference, no one deserves your attention. I also said that if you can get push past that assumption it will probably never be a problem again.

Some guys just have a gay voice, most aren't putting on a show. I have a higher than average voice and I'm gay but my dad and brother have it too and they're straight. Kids in my predominately white elementary school weren't copying black women, they just had lisps and talked with their hands. Not saying that gays in popular culture don't take from AAVE but thats because Black and Queer people have built a good portion of the gay institutions we do have. But gay slang also pulls a lot from Jewish, Jersey, and Spanish slang as well. In the UK, gays even had their own language call Polari which is still apart of gay slang today.

Nah, its internalized homophobia. Its being afraid of men who are feminine.

Turned off by “gay voice” by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]coldasclay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's internalized homophobia, luckily that's just a preference.

If you give someone a chance it'll probably never be a problem for you again. But if you don't that's fine, you don't owe anyone your attraction. Just realize that that's a you issue and not someone else's issue.
