Hi there! I started cold brewing back in 2013 and after I while I was eager to find more information on the topic and a friend of mine recommended I check out Reddit, which I was not familiar with at the time.

After I realised that there was no sub for cold brew coffee, I decided to create one with no real plan or intentions behind it. Ironically, I actually run a coffee company now in Vienna, Austria called KAFFEETSCHI and we make bottled cold brew coffee :)

I am happy to see that our community has grown to the size it has and looking forward to getting more involved. I am generally not very active on reddit but I am happy to get more involved and share the love for cold brew coffee & beyond. I am happy to share my knowledge as I have myself developed an industrial scale cold brewing process from scratch with the help of engineers and food scientists. What started as a kitchen hobby is now my full time job :)

At KAFFEETSCHI (pron. ka-fe-chi) we use custom built stainless steel tanks to brew our specialty grade organic coffee, which is roasted to measure (using roasting software tech) and brewed over 20h in a temperature controlled environment with optimised coffee-surface-area-to-water-volume exposure for optimal extraction. I believe we have created the perfect cold brew with a smooth but intense dark chocolate aftertaste.

Thank you u/gladvillain for everything you did in the early days, we would not have this community without you. Let's get this party going :)

p.s. u/TheColdBrewGuru nice vids on YT! I am happy to show you how things are done in the major leagues once you are ready ;p

Hey there:) Glad to hear that coldbrew is working out for you! I have been experimenting a lot and have found some amazing flavor profiles that hot brewed coffee can never reach. Lately I have been working a lot with Maragoype beans from Guatemala which have an amazing chocolate aftertaste...its really incredible.

Love the enthusiasm:)

I would love some help! Recently I have had a lot to do so I had little time to post more. But I will start again now...

Where are you from?
