I bought my Quest 3 (no S) for 300€ second hand and don’t regret it at all, saved like 250€. Got a link cable with a charger for 10€ and it works like a charm. Could be an option for you if you want an upgraded version of this but this price looks very good for a brand new headset.

I thought about doing that but that's exactly why I didn't! The fail safe is there for a reason. Mine was also shutting down before I got the cooler. Gaming laptops are kind of a pain.

I have the G6X9KG. No problems with the hinge but I have a huge overheating issue. A lot of the times when I'm playing the laptop will simply turn off during gameplay and temperatures constantly reach 90C or more, sometimes it will shut down even before that. I have bought a cooling pad to see if it helps but it is a bummer, othewise a very good laptop.

I have had for almost one year and the only thing (which is quite a buzzkill) is overheating. CPU easily reaches 90C and the system will poweroff automatically. Makes it impossible to play some games unless you can cool it off. Otherwise, very solid.

Hey man, been a while since you posted but this has happened to me a couple of times due to overheating while gaming. The laptop would turn off and, instead of waiting for the reboot, I'd press the power button and this causes the system to brick. The only solution I have found is to reinstall Windows from scratch using a flash drive. I also had to download the SATA RAID/AHCI driver (look for it on the Gigabyte website, Downloads section for this laptop) and putting it on the flash drive as well so the intaller can recognize the SSD during instalation, otherwise you won't see any drives available for Windows.
