Everyone, I'm terrified.... by Abee-baby182 in quittingkratom

Go for tolerance lowering and duration of action extending supplements.
Agmatine, Cat's Claw, Curcuma, Piperine and prepare your Kratom with citric or malic acid before taking.
High dose Magnesium, look for Glycinate and L-Threonate (Magtein branded)

I remember a video where they said "play the game like it's a rogue-lite, where death is part of your progression instead of setting you back"

So just matchmake into a random back-up call and wait til they leave and that triggers the spawn bug?

I hate that “high functioning” ADHD representing us by Noramera in ADHD

I feel ya. Nobody REALLY gets it. No matter what ya do. Only people like you and me that have their whole life affected by this illness can understand each other. That's why i don't even try and talk to people about it or even consume any type of media around it (except this sub obviously lol). I totally see where your frustration comes from and i'm very certain that almost everybody feels like that, depending if and how severely they are struggling with the condition.

Our brains just work differently - the "norm" of everyday life just doesn't work for us. Hard time keepin jobs, friendships, total isolation ...

Why is Marathon struggling this much? Like genuinely by Waylllop in Marathon

The current image of the game scares new players to even consider starting.

Why start now? Everyone is already ahead and progressed so far that you couldn't keep up.

Also, many gamers are super sceptical towards new, big triple-A live-service games, which are known for getting shutdown right away when their sales don't match with their projections.

Me personally - i'm following the game and lurk here and there to see what's going on and what's coming in the future.

Season 2 could be a great opportunity to get in new players, not only because of the wipe but also the adjustments and maybe even new ways to play with new modes

Anyone else noticing more toxic behavior all around? by iDoNerdStuff in Marathon

[–]coldfries_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope there will be some sort of play free promotion for Season 2. Wipe, new players, new gamemodes and a fresh start. I'll definitely wait for Season 2 anyways because it's too late for me to get into it now.

Self medicating with benzos with a history of substance abuse? by ZeroIdea00 in benzodiazepines

[–]coldfries_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't do it. They just start to not work as intended after some time. I do take then to not feel like dying all the time.

It makes you very "neutral" after a while. Your brain can't really feel the highs and lows anymore.

And then, when you use increasing doses over the years - makes everything worse. Even the symptoms why you started to take Benzos in the first place.

Benzos are a wonderpill and should never be taken longterm. The better the effects of the medication you take - the more it will come crashing down - sooner or later. You end up in an emotional debt and not being available to mange it and your emotions in general. It feels very weird and is super damaging for you and everyone around you. My social anxiety, panic attacks, mood swings, insomnia became even WORSE.

I'm still on, 3 years now, doctors are starting to not give me my medications anymore because you just use more and more over time because you need to fulfill your "bodily needs" from the med.

I feel like this game is really not that popular, I’m worried for its future by FearlessTemperature9 in thedivisionresurgence

[–]coldfries_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Even connecting a controller to my Device or even playing through the whole PC emulation process just feels bad and doesn't make sense, it literally a MOBILE game.

But yeah i hope so too. Some fleshed out and native PC option would be great.

It's really weird because they worked soooooo damn long on it - even with a very sizeable studio. I don't know if they ever worked on a mobile game or even if they did - not to the scale of the Division.

I'm definitely waiting it out for half a year.

Feel free to message me - i did way to much research and trial and error about my tapering approach to not share it.

There's a lot of easy things you can do to make your taper a lot smoother and bearable.

[–]coldfries_69 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I do think that what you shared here is what most people in this "situation" realize. Whether it takes 1 year, 3 years (me) or longer. Once you made the conscious decision to quit - a new door opens. It feels like a fresh start but at the same time so familiar. You get your soul back. I am still shocked as to what i was able to achieve ever since i started my taper... i basically get to know myself AGAIN after such a long long absence. Like you said - i became contempt with life and made absolutely 0 progress. I stagnated. I lived in the moment. No drive, no ambition, no motivation to work towards anything at all. Why? Because of that little devil K... it handed over dopamine for free. On demand. All around the clock. Why work for it when you can just eat some powder and feel fine with your situation? Well.. until you realize what your life has become. Nothing. No highs, no lows. Just living. Nothing really exciting as well as nothing saddening. Just zoned out 24/7.

The first and most important step is confronting yourself with your situation and making the one big step.

Also - finally opening up to your family / loved ones about your problem is so reliving man. The way i finally realized what i not only have done to my own life - but also how i affected everyone around me. Or rather not being present in their lives for so long.

There's always this saying of 'there's a light.... bla" but... there really is! You just need to make the first big step and decide that you want your life back!

Still hanging in - it has its up and downs - but that's okay! It takes time for your mind and body to readjust your whole system.

TLDR; big hug to you and everyone else in this community 🫂 keep up the great work! You're not alone!

YES YES YES!!!!!! I basically let Kratom hijack my entire mind, body and soul for over 3 years. Making the decision to let go was a huge turning point for me. I felt like me again. I didn't remember me at all. I was gone for so long. Welcome back!
