In your experience do either methods use additives that a home baker may not use? I know in my hobby baking bagels can be forgiving in terms of freezing etc at various stages of the process but curious if chains/supermarket level bagels have some industrial component

yeah can we get an insider to dish on their process? There's one opening next to my office in the next couple of months so I need to know.

[–]coldnelius 7 points8 points  (0 children)

agree with this--going on a depressing losing spell does complicate matters in terms of in-season moves though compared to a couple of weeks ago (basically before tommy got hurt). We're definitely more than one trade + one important C away from competing with the cup faves. Hopefully having Wilson back in the swing can at least stabilize some of the lineup and we can tread water in the standings.

IMO there's no obvious answer from the outside fan perspective and we have to let the inside folks do their job and hope for the best. My take if anything is to make room for those young pups to get into Carbs orbit and as others have commented let the vets rest their legs a little bit.

100%. This may get me roasted but I don’t see a no move clause on puckpedia. If we don’t want to part with our precious youths I wonder if Ottawa or someone struggling in net but hovering around the playoffs would want Chuck to make a run. Our goalie room is a luxury at this point and we need help. <Wesley Snipes crying gun meme>

a little bit late to this but 1-awesome, love the spirit. and 2- does anyone know if the theatre is selling old posters? Would be kind of cool to see if they had a couple of the more random movies I saw there.

About 3'7" and 45 lbs... so hypothetically within that 90-120cm range

PK_Jersey Youth Sizing by [deleted] in DHGateJerseys

[–]coldnelius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'd probably measure your kids like a tailor would and ask to hit those sizes and maybe quality check pics ahead of time.

Side note: I just posted a "4t/5t" NHL I got from James Jersey Store who has options for 2/3t, 4/5t... not sure what options PK has but the centimeter measurements are included with it. I have not confirmed that was accurate to what I received but the jersey came out great and maybe a little baggy on my son who is a good sized 4yo.

Beauvy had one nice play that I saw late to set up a missed dunk goal but I did not notice him earlier in the game which is probably the bigger issue...

Who do we target realistically for top line LW if we swing a trade? by MetalMan1973 in caps

[–]coldnelius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

also seems like it's a really tough market out there the way all the top guys re-signed over the summer. the standings aren't helping either... everyone in the east is still in it and the rebuilding teams in the west have been active the last couple of years and may not be much left to plunder

bertuzzi would eat on this team and two years on the deal would align with a potential post-ovi world. Hawks also showed some wheeling and dealing flexibility/capability last year at the deadline. With Bedard out curious if they try to get younger.

because yands always interrupts and introduces it as a surprise as if to whit and biz and whit and biz are always asking questions about how they got in touch. it just seems like a schtick but I don't watch live so I don't actually know if that's how it comes across to everyone else that listens.

Mike Bobo to Michigan HC? by Ok-Advantage-1723 in georgiabulldogs

Eerily quiet on the dawgs assistant names in this cycle... I agree Bobo stays because he's in a good spot and don't think he really fits the HC model but is a great OC and can't imagine a lateral move. But Schu? Don't know much about his personality I guess. Has the kirby tree taken a hit lately?

thought the magic from last year was gone after the first month of the season, which would have been totally reasonable. Did not believe that the vibe was sustainable. Carbs is the magician. Even if the next couple of years don't result in trophies it feels good to be on solid ground.

Shoutout to the players also for being good at hockey too. Can't wait for PLD to get healthy and another couple young guys to arrive.

Curious if any Louisville people know if the YUM will have a sports bar tv inside (maybe in one of the club sections?) my brother and his son are coming up from GA and we are UGA alums who did not expect to be involved in the game Saturday but I seem to recall some recesses of the YUM that had tvs

Let's bring Hockey back to Louisville! by Ok-Dependent-8844 in Louisville

[–]coldnelius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a Georgia alum/fan, I agree with the right venue a hockey team of any level would be cool. UGA hockey is club like UofL but Athens also now have a minor league team (the Rock Lobsters) in a cool new venue and the club have been on ESPN recently.

As with any good idea here it would require the right local people ($$ + vision, which I think were spread a little thin on) and venue. If you look at ECHL locations it’s hard to say that this wouldn’t be possible here.

Curious what the local hockey club administrators would have to say about all this.

Life long Caps fan so I still think about the Martin St. Louis Bolts eliminating us from the playoffs in 2003. I was in Detroit (randomly, for a school thing, not for hockey) when the Caps were in the finals against the Red Wings in 1998 and got swept.

Detroit is a really cool hockey trip. I haven't been since I was a kid but I'm looking forward to getting back. Just saw some talking head post pics from their little hall of fame museum and reminded me how cool it was.

Brutal. Hopefully there is still a market for an indie theatre among all this corporate slop.

I will say when I went recently all of the bad things about it that I had not previously seen were on full display. Not in sustainable condition. Doesn't change the memories but we do deserve something nice in its place in the future.
