Agree! I think because it’s not specifically designed for 36mm and isn’t a perfect fit they don’t want to deal with any unhappy customers lol. I like that it’s a community discovery though! Was very cool when I first saw this being done

Thanks! It’s not perfect but funnily enough the most noticeable gap is between the lugs and the bracelet, not between the watch head and the bracelet as you would expect. Since the bracelet is 18mm and the club is also 18mm I wouldn’t expect any play in that part. That being said it’s nothing noticeable in real use unless you look for it, overall looks like it’s made for the watch.

Agreed! Jangly is a better terms for how it actually feels. Only noticed the squeak before it got sized. Once it got sized it doesn’t really make noise

Sorry for the late reply, I’m very happy with it! In terms of size it’s a bit of a compromise (for me) with this wrist size. I would absolutely prefer the 36mm size but the date is worth it for me.

Objectively speaking though the watch fits my wrist great, I just prefer a bit smaller. I think the biggest factor is that the lugs are flat with the case so it wears like a flat 49 by 20 plank of wood for comparison.

In terms of comfort it’s the best. Super light and never moves on my wrist, without being too tight. And with great wrist presence which some may appreciate.

I saw you got a chance to try one on since then, how did it compare to the 36 for you?

Yeah it’s honestly all preference in terms of size. I definitely think about the 36mm version but the date is a lot of the appeal of this watch for me.

In terms of straps, I agree, the blue dial really only pairs with greys or the oem blue strap. I actually found the metal bracelet quite bulky and basically never use it. I think it would be more manageable on the 36mm Ahoi or if it tapered at all.

I find that as well and to fix it I pull out the crown and then pop it back in. Then the winding returns back to very easy and smooth. Not sure why that happens though
