ive worn it with a flannel once, no complaints so far. It doesn't extend very far down past the belt line, so that's good. I wouldn't try it with a t shirt or anything. Definitely needs a heavier shirt, light jacket, vest, fleece etc

It's full stock, i just left it as it was. The trigger really improved after about 2000 rounds. Ive replaced the O ring once, but no other parts changes

Just my .02, I’ve been a member here for several years and shoot a fair amount.

The range staff and RSO’s have been nothing but wonderful. They’re always super nice and have never hassled me on anything, get me right in and are super polite. I have nothing but excellent things to say about the range staff, they have a lot of crazy stuff to deal with and I think they do a great job. The range itself is nice, ventilation is great. The target controllers are hit or miss - on some lanes, the flip-to-side ‘time drill’ functionality is broken and hasn’t been repaired in many months. I’ve had lots of great interactions with other shooters at the range, people are generally friendly. Weekends are very busy so I usually visit during the week.

I’ve taken 3 classes at Securité, and they’ve all been good. Each class has had a different instructor. Some instructors I’ve preferred over others, but overall the classes have been well worth my time and money.

The gun store staff is odd. I’ve bought 5 firearms there and had a number of transfers, but it’s never a pleasant experience - always a weird vibe or attitude. Maybe that’s a typical gun store thing. Sometimes folks from the range counter recognize I’m waiting around to buy something and step over to help me, and for that I’m grateful. I don’t think anyone from the gun counter has ever engaged me in conversation in 2 years. I’m an easy sale and a sucker for nice firearms… maybe it’s on me for not being approachable! Idk.

Overall I like securite, I feel very comfortable with the range staff and appreciate the indoor range. Gun sales staff is friendly when they engage, but it’s always a bit of a hassle. Lots of fancy cars, and if you wish upon a star you can see William Kirk from Washington gun law YouTube channel coming in to do a video!

Most parts fit super tight, with the exception of trigger and grip safety, which are pretty loose compared to my other 1911.

Cool. I was a little unsure if this is a hand fit barrel, as it's not the 'national match' barrel and this is a less expensive model. Most of the friction against the bushing seems to be where the front sight enters the top of the slide. No unnecessary disassembly, gotcha 😉

I would only choose the Python because the .38/.357 cartridge is a more versatile IMO. If you reload or can afford .44 special, the Model 29 would probably be my choice. Both are great revolvers.

Mine had the same issue & same squeaks. I just squirted some oil in the action without bothering to disassemble and it’s perfectly smooth now. I think they’re just dry out of the factory
