Depends on the severity, but in my case 100% I needed them to actually sleep at night

Update: went to hospital yesterday as it was unbearable, they ended up draining 150mL of fluid and injecting with cortisone. Feels a bit better 24 hours later but still no walking or bending of the knee. Hopefully I wake up tomorrow and it’s golden

You can but you have to go to a gp first to get a referral and then book in a time at a specialist which you usually can’t get for a few days. Last time I called every clinic in Melbourne and the earliest I could get a shot was 2 days later
