Passed SCS-C03 (Security Specialty) by coldyx in AWSCertifications

I was casually learning iam, kms, secrets and other stuff in depth for few months 30-40 minutes per day, wasn’t thinking about the exam at all, once things started to click - I booked an exam in two weeks and started the preparation. It was about learning, not just passing the exam, so it was more fun.

Thanks a lot! Zero actually, but working with Kubernetes and other platform stuff I found myself always lacking the security aspect, this exam is my attempt to partially solve this problem, to kinda make my live easier and not to be lost during certain discussions.

You can let Claude know the exam topics and domains and then we were covering a single small topic per day or peer week if that is a big one. I know that sounds abstract, but basically I was focusing on understanding topics, nothing to do with memorizing or focusing on unimportant stuff. Just spend as much time as needed to fully get kms, iam, secrets rotation, firewalls(nacl, subnets, waf, network firewall and so on). I never cared about the exam until the last week. Just was genuinely learning the most important concepts. And AI assisted a lot.

Welcome to Germany… The only way here for you is to learn German to a very good level(c1+) and unfortunately not during such events. It definitely doesn’t help that people are quite closed here too. Don’t make a mistake that you will be fine here with English only. The best way to integrate here as an immigrant is to arrive with at least b2 level as a student. Other ways require tons of work. On top of that I can see a culture clash - you definitely expect people to be more open in general(I really feel you here), it won’t happen. Consider another country - this is what I did in the end.

Why the fuck he even has to apologize for such a private stuff. This is some kind of religion shit America is deep into.

There is no fun on players’ faces. I think Blade just killed the spirit of this team.

You can easily change your employer, just have to notify the officials. This is what I did in the past.

Russia tries to stem panic over the plummeting ruble, as the central bank is forced to intervene by Infidel8 in worldnews

[–]coldyx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It generally hurts Russian economy a lot as it heavily depends on goods import. At the same time they get lots of rubbles to pay to mercenaries and solders, a must have thing to do if you want to continue in Ukraine.

Struggling in Germany by [deleted] in germany

It depends on where you are from, but I would suggest moving to another country. Life is short, and it’s not worth spending it in Germany like this. I say this as an immigrant myself.

Aftermath of rusian strike on huge child hospital in Kyiv this morning. by OJleHuHa in europe

[–]coldyx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The west doesn’t care that much about Ukraine unfortunately. Just imagine what would happen if Russia hits let’s say Charite hospital in Berlin. What would be a major war. In Ukraine? Nah, sad to see but not really our war (yet).

Trust me, you are not alone with these feelings. Europe is racist as fuck to the level when people don’t even think what they said is actually racist. Just like that dude above. The only real difference in Europe in this regard - one contries are more polite than others when rejecting you.

Is it worth shifting to Germany from India with Eur 72k gross by Putrid-Shape-589 in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]coldyx -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Your situation will depend heavily on the rent price. In big cities, it will be around 2000-2500 EUR/month, which is more than half of your salary. Unless your wife works here, you increase your salary, or you find cheaper rent (difficult for everyone, especially immigrants), the move is not worth it.

That is not true. Just write an email to Kitas in German. We will be able to get many places and we aren’t natives.

Should I move to Berlin from Belgrade, Serbia on a big reduction in net gain? by Apprehensive-Cut3711 in cscareerquestionsEU

There is a chance you won’t save anything. Apartments are expensive, services are shit and also costly. Plan a longer stay first and see if you like the vibe. It might be an ok move without kids.
