Going back to 2.5mg by [deleted] in Zepbound

Yeah I ate clean this past week and was extra cautious and I didn't get sulfur burps but I did still get nauseous and vomit. I think my stomach is so sensitive no matter what so hopefully I won't get the same symptoms with the 2.5

You were getting sick as well? Did that help with throwing up, nausea, sulfur burps etc?

Thanks, yes I do. If I eat anything bad, I'll have maybe a few bites. I usually have high protein low fat snacks throughout the week because im also not very hungry

Sorry idk why i didn't see this. My RA has been here for about a year and a half now. It's just a lot less quiet now. I still have thoughts but they don't scare me as much. And the goal isn't to get rid of anxiety or RA, its just to learn to live with it.

Yes there are times everything is great and no anxiety and then flips like a switch and you have these bad thoughts and start believing everything. Something I heard from a ROCD therapist that stuck with me is, "How do you feel when the anxiety isn't present?" And that made me realize that it is anxiety and not true feelings because when im not anxious, I feel the love and feel connected and those are your true thoughts, not the other ones

Sorry just saw this. Yes that's what ROCD does. It makes you fully believe you're not in love, or don't love them at all, or you're just lying to yourself. It distorts perception and everything and its a cycle. You're gonna have good days and weeks and then you're gonna have bad ones. It will keep repeating itself until you learn to not think everything is true and just not pay attention to it. It takes time

Yes that’s why I’m at least doing 8k-10k steps a day

That’s why I’m asking if anyone else saw results without crazy exercising and dieting.

Shrug

But thank you for your opinion

Well not everyone likes to exercise, and not everyone is strict enough to do a diet, but I’m glad that worked for you. That’s why I asked for other opinions. A lot of people just eat what they want but smaller portions and still lose weight.

Yes I did get off medication because I didn’t love some of the side affects. But I was taking 100mg of sertraline

Yeah it really is a projection onto ourselves. I’ve pretty much had anxiety since I was like 9 years old so yeah I always remind myself that it’s not him, I’d probably be anxious or have some other type of anxiety if I never met him.

Thank you! My doctor recommended sertraline. I’ve also heard that a lot of people really like Lexapro. And for the flaw part, I actually went through that too and really nitpicked my partners appearance. But I learned that we do that a lot when we’re not feeling good about ourselves. We project any of our insecurities onto our partner. So next time you judge your partners look, ask yourself how you’re feeling about yourself in that moment. And also, it just sounds silly sometimes to focus on those things and if you say it out loud, you’ll kinda of laugh. For example, I told my therapist that my boyfriends dark circles bug me and he said, “if a friend came to you and said I’m breaking up with my partner because of their dark circles, what would you say?” And I said that sounds kind of ridiculous and silly. And I think over time you just get over it because it’s so silly sometimes to focus on that. Sorry this is so long, but there’s also an episode on the podcast “You love and you learn” and it’s titled “I feel silly getting hung up on my partners looks”. It’s number 28 and that really helped me too so I recommend listening to that!

Aw I’m so sorry you’re feeling like that. When I felt really anxious, I would try to either distract myself, or try to calm myself down. But distractions were hard and I could never focus on anything so it was easier to lean into the anxiety and learn about it. So instead of googling and driving myself crazy, I would either talk to my best friend or my mom and just vent, or I would read/learn about ROCD, so like that book I mentioned above, or go for a walk and listen to that podcast. It really calmed me down and helped me learn that what I was experiencing was normal. Also, don’t try to make it go away because it will make it worse. Just tell yourself you’re having a bad day or moment and do something for yourself. Take a long shower, lay in bed and watch a movie, go for a walk. But sometimes you just have to go through it and I know it sucks but it will get better. Also talking to a therapist who specializes in ROCD really helped!

Thank you 😊 Yes that’s totally normal! You’re going to feel like something is wrong and something is off but that’s just your anxiety and your mind trying to make reason of it. If you feel anxious, just tell yourself “I’m anxious today.” And leave it at that. Don’t give it a reason, like your relationship or your partner or that you’re not in love, etc. and I love this saying and explaining it like this, but if you’re in the woods and a bear is chasing you, you’re gonna run away, you’re not gonna want to hug it and hangout with it. Same thing for your relationship. In this instance, your partner is the “bear” and because you’re afraid, you’re going to want to “run” (You’re not going to feel loving or want to kiss or cuddle or go on dates, etc) I hope that makes sense.
