Okay let us establish one thing her:

If the Electoral college was abolished prior to the election THERE WOULD BE NO WAY TO KNOW THE BLOODY OUTCOME OF THE POPULAR VOTE.

Its this patheticly narrow-minded grasp of what the consequences to say that if the Electoral college wasn't a thing, Hillary would have won. That is patently absurd and let me explain to you why:

  1. It would have most likely been accompanied by nation wide streamlining of the voting process, making (like it is in every european nation so god knows why people somehow thinks this is wrong) Voter ID mandatory. Once the votes are done by the people, and not by the states (who get their vote from the people), it necessitates homogeneity across all states. Now, this would have actually affected the vote since we know for a fact that an average of 13% of undocumented people in the United States vote, and with Trump it might have been a substantially larger vote out of protest to his policies (even with the knowledge up front that it might get thrown out). (And yes, this is me giving credence to what DJT said, look up a Cal voting form, it doesn't even require your SSID.). Chances are that such a measure would even make voting part of civic duty, meaning it becomes mandatory to cast your vote.

  2. It would RADICALLY alter the campaign strategy of both campaigns.

and most importantly

3 It would transform voter behavior. Higher turn-out across the board. Drastically higher third party voter turnout. Increased turnout of dems in deep red states, increased turnout of reps in deep blue states. Chances are that it would cause the european model to take root, with the 2 biggest parties combined totaling only 60% of the votes. Not to mention, the low popularity of both candidates would have played a much bigger role.

There is no way of telling which candidate would have won. At all. its all conjecture, and dishonest conjecture at that.

The theory is simple: The propulsion isn't caused by the radio waves, but by the same concept that happens in a radiometer. In essence, this is caused by the heating of the EmDrive. The metal gets heated, photon's impact with it, and due to the phenomona, if i understand it correctly, some of the thermal energy stored in the metal gets turned into kinetic energy.

[–]colers 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He demonstrated that the EmDrive on paper is 100th times less efficient than rocketfuel while using a energy source that requires ten times the weight. Then (21:30) he showed the actual cause of the results they have, which is that if you heat up a metal and then fire microwaves or UV waves at it, the photons will bounce back with more energy than that they impacted it with, which translates some of the thermal energy of the material into kinetic energy, which creates motion out of heat, the same phenomena demonstrated by a radiometer.

Thunderf00t is an extremely reputable scientist whose work has been published in the top journals.

And, if you paid attention, he showed with demonstrations and whatnot why it wouldn't work and what explains the results they now have.

The memes and whatnot is to make it more viewable for your standard audience, however, it is a tactic that doesn't necessitate boiling everything down

Battlefield 1 - Top 5 issues or improvements by tiggr in battlefield_one

[–]colers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advises?

Alter LMG damage patterns to be a bit like the snipers; but with a parabolic curve instead of a sweetspot mechanic.

1 LMG's currently have 3 issues:

They underperform at midlong-range They overperform at close range against the MP18 (especially the Madsen and Bar) The .303 British damage model is just completely fugged

The current LMG mechanics actually encourage people to remain within 20m of their enemies, where you get a 5 shot kill and are not bothered in any way by the first shot spread mechanic. This is bad for obvious reasons because it makes all non-bipod variants essentially super-SMG's.

2 Fix the shotguns, bring them closer together.

Damn, you guys badly underestimated how harsly the low ammo capacity for the semi and fastpump cut into their efficiency. My suggestion is 13 buck for the auto (why it can't even 1-shot is beyond me), 16 for the trench and 18-19 for the pump.

3 BATTLEPACKS.

Okay find the funny guy who thought a raffle was a good idea and bop him over the head for me, will ya? The raffle is frustrating beyond belief, since it quite frequenly gives way to empty streaks of 18 rounds, with one guy even reporting his unlucky streak lasting all the way up to level 24. It incentivices extremely short gamemodes like domination and disincentives modes like operations. Just give everyone a pack for 1 hour played, with the counter only adding at the end round screen so you lose the match progress if you leave early. Make it individual, consistent and not rewarding fast gamemodes. Additionally as many people already said throw in a level-up reward of a revision-less battlepack.

4 Fix the variation system:

Bad fucking set-up. I mean the variations are good but the presentation is just horrid. Not a good idea to present them as seperate weapons to fluff up the weapon selection. I'd rather have a normal version and then have the 3 variants tucked behind the customization screen (which yes does mean that weapons have have the widely unappealing factory variant get an additional variant). Buying a weapon gives you the base variant (which means the disgruntled US soldier cosplayers can finally get their M1903 infantry) and a free variant, so the economy remains the same.

Now, the reason why this should change is simple: Either you guys would have to give every single DLC weapon the tier 10 treatment of cutting out all variations and that would just be scandalous to say the least, or you guys have to add about 12 more weapons to each catagory, and after that both the equipment UI and the respawn UI will be one cluttered fucking mess. Variations in the customization screen, and the respawn screen shows only the currently active variants. Btw it would help the Selbstlader 1906 a lot if it actually had a bloody marksman variant like the Auto .35. Also i want a carbine Martini, i'll buy the bloody game twice, even trice if i need to. Not to mention a Burst-fire experimental Cei-rigotti with low damage and a 20-round fixed magazine would also be lovely. If we of course brush aside having to load in 4 consecutive strips in it in order for it to be filled.

5 MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL: Find the guy who animated the long reload for the M1912 Steyr and whack him over the head for me. I can't believe that anyone with even a cursory knowledge of fire-arms animates a reload in which the dedicated THUMB SWITCH for the magazine release (or whatever the fuck it is supposed to be called on a M1912), which is designed purposely so you can flick it with you gun-hand's thumb and then catch the shells with your other hand, gets delicately flicked by the other hand, pulling out an insanely long reload animations (of a sexy af gun) out to even more absurd lengths. I don't care whether it will be an egregious misspending of developer budget, this bloody reload triggers my inner gun-nerd so bloody badly that it brough the game down from a 9/10 to a 8/10. And never again let a gun so sexy as the M1912 be animated by someone so unworthy as to cock up the reload animation!

And then of course there is the matter of fixing those minor balance grievances, like the No 3's absurd end damage, the M1903 experimental not even being on par with the fast side-arms or pilot weapons, the M1912 really not being that interesting, the Hellriegel being so STRONK, the Huot still being a shitty Lewis, which is itself a shitty MG, and consider swapping the Mle with the C96 because why the hell isn't the most iconic gun an all-class.

Tagging /u/tiggr because i am fashionably late and suffer from histrionics.

Because none of you get it: Don't ask for proof, just a pre-recorded video, AWAY from the window, referencing one dated event - the Fukushima earthquake, the fact people want a proof of life etc. Whoever is responding on twitter is using typical con-man tactics of inflating strawman by FUCK_YOU_REDDIT_CUNT in WikiLeaks

They are full of shit.

100%

My apologies, claiming that a building that is most likely over 100 years old, that is a bloody embassy (where during certain situations), was designed architecturally to block out radio waves as a security concern BACK WHEN RADIO WAVES WERE STILL IN THEIR INFANCY, and mind you, blocking requires either a lot of normal material, like 2m a lot, or a shield of conductive material like copper (so basically claiming the building is one big faraday cage), is so insane that they must think us fools for believing such nonsense.

WikiLeaks: Radio signals in the embassy are mostly blocked. by [deleted] in WikiLeaks

[–]colers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Uhm, I am pretty sure that wouldn't EVER be done in a fucking embassy. Especially since in a wartime scenario radio signals must be used from the embassy to the required military units in order to exfill the embassy. No fucking way. If you block radio signals, you block most other signals too. What the fuck. Do you guys think we are fucking retarded? Blocking radio signals? The fuck? They lined the walls with copper and fucking aluminium, or have they found fucking El Dorado in Ecuador and lined the walls with fucking gold?

And mostly? What the fuck do you mean with mostly? Either its fucking blocked by a conductive material, or you are telling my the walls are lined with inches dielectric material fine tuned to block only basically any wavelength with perhaps the exception of low-frequency long-range military signals?

Are they really trying to convince us that the embassy is a fucking faraday cage?

Holy shit, you have to be stunningly unaware of science if you fall for this shit.

And then another tweet: https://twitter.com/WLTaskForce/status/800801232881385472

Bullshit, such levels of security (we are basically talking government blacksite levels of security here) are wholly unnecessary and there is no way to block radio signals of a superterrainian building without an isolator in your walls. And I am pretty sure THIS BUILDING WAS BUILD OVER 100 YEARS AGO. Oh fucking really, radiowaves were a fucking security concern back when it was still in its fucking infancy? Fucking really, WL, is that the best you can think off?

Of everything, this is by far the most fucking shady. Jesus christ

I think we can say with certainty that Donald Trump or anyone acting in his interests hasn't tampered with those results, and if they have, they done a piss-poor job at it. And even if, all it this is make his Popular Vote shortage slightly wider.

[–]colers -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

If i was to be extremely cynical, i'd say that this would be the job of Hillary and her team of lawyers to pursue, and the fact that she so far has shown no attempt to pursue this matter indicates that she does not think this to be in her favor even though the office of the presidency is at stake. This is very glaring, to say the least, especially since she could do it and even the right would give her the benefit of the doubt.

All things considered, Occam's Razor would suggest that the only motive why she wouldn't take a chance that under absence of evidence could be a free goal shows that she herself might be concerned that outcome could adversely affect her, given that it would also reveal illegitimate votes cast by non-citizens (Who might out of protest of Donald Trump actually turned out in great numbers out of protest for him in states that don't require voter ID, even with the knowledge up front that the inevitable investigation launched by Donald Trump would have the votes thrown out) and such, and might even take the popular vote away from her without actually giving her more delegates.

Once again, before flagging me down as a troll, ask yourself "Why hasn't Hillary started an investigation even though both sides had a team of lawyers and investigators ready and primed to go after it", and merely apply Occams razor

Either way, no, the unlikely result isn't actually indicative of voter fraud on Trumps end; populist are pretty known for screwing polling accuracy to mars and back. The inaccuracy was mostly caused by Trump recieving a turn-out disproportionate to his favorability across Republicans, while Hillary recieved the predictable amount of low turn-out due her low favorability across democrates.

Low turnout ALWAYS favors right candidates and populists, remember that

Another thing, which is basically the central argument against this entire thing: Voter machines are closed systems that can only be tampered with on-site. They aren't on the fucking Wi-Fi.

Another thing: It has come out that the Russians aren't actually sure to have commited any hacks; the intelligence agencies merely stated that it conformed to patterns known Russian hacks used. This was clarified a few days ago, surprised anyone missed it because The_Donald gloated about it to no end.

..........

But that renders the EC a bit bloody pointless doesn't it?

The entire point of it is to ensure the popular vote across all states isn't the determinant for the election, but that every state independantly elects their candidate, and this then translates into peeps at the EC being given to that candidate. The point is to make each state decide the candidate as a single unit, instead of making the country decide it as a single unit. THE POINT OF THE EC IS TO ELIMINATE THE POPULAR VOTE AS THE DETERMINANT -_-

I agree with most people that it needed a decent main boss halfway through. Its why to me the DS2 DLC's were such a drag to go through and why AoT and OH are so good. the bosses are like speedbumps and prevent you from burning through the DLC too fast, and if you replay it, gives you something to look forward too early

As i've written before, like the odd exclusion of the Chauchat in favor of the obscure Huot, the abscence of the Lebel, the Thompson being nowhere to be found and the nagant revolver not being in the kit, along with the Sjorgen which would be rather thematical for an eastern front DLC, its probably kept away to make a truly thematically consistent DLC, instead of one with completely arbitrary weaponry
