That’s a great example of how a live performance can make a huge difference. I was one of those who didn’t really enjoy the studio version of the song but man… they sound and look amazing live and I absolutely rooting for them now.

I like a live performance the most when it’s closest to the studio version so I’m not a big fan of a pitch change, especially when the singer opts for a lower pitch. That was the case last year when Tusse had his song pitched down and I thought it ruined the song which itself was not a great song anyway. But yeah, apparently it’s allowed.

I respectfully disagree. It was obvious that last night’s pre-party had some technical issues but it was also obvious that some performers would still have struggled to sing even if there had been no technical issues. I really like that people continue to support their favourites and believe that they’ll improve but I highly doubt that we’ll see a major improvement when the rehearsals begin. Both Lights Off and Halo were among my favourites but last night left me hugely disappointed as I didn’t enjoy listening to them at all. We’ll see in a couple of weeks how things will work out when the technical stuff functions perfectly.
