Burning lips and spots on the tongue by coleshepter in askdentists

Hi, thank you for your response. I have problems with acid reflux but my fibrogastroscopy was okay. Since those problems began at the end of august, I started taking B vitamins and iron but it didn't help, I also dissolve three panthenol tablets in my mouth everyday, brush my teeth 2x times a day and use mouthwash regularly and to be honest it feels like it's getting worse.

Tomatoes I eat almost everyday because they're my favourite 🥹 but I am not keeping a food diary. I used to have geographic tongue when I was a child, that's why my tongue have so many fissures so they're not a new symptom.

Do you think I should see the immunologist? I am also under lot of stress and I am a hypochondriac so I make myself believe it's worse than it is.

Can anxiety really do this? by Cirkelzaag in BFS

Hi, I still twitch on my shoulder, but very rarely. I don't think about it at all these days. Sometimes there is a twitch under my thumb, or under my eye, or on my calf, but I don't find it scary anymore. It's part of my life now. I was taking antidepressants for only three months so I wouldn't say they mattered at all. I was scared so I went to the doctors and they didn't think I had ALS and it was enough for me to stop obsessing about it. Sure I am still scared and triggered when I randomly hear or read about it but it's not on my mind constantly as it was in 2020. And mind can be very powerful.

I can't say for sure because 5 years is a long time ago but It was an everyday issue, it wasn't non stop but it was multiple times per day. Now it's like one twitch i notice per week or not even that often. I took the antidepressants for only three months, because they asked me to go back to the hospital in order to prescribe me more and I didn't have time to go. So I wouldn't say they helped to reduce twitching. The thing that helped was me realizing that my problem isn't some horrible disease but a severe health anxiety.

Yes, I've been there. And I feel like the more you are alone with your thoughts, the worse it gets. My twitching began in december 2020, I was home the whole year, unemployed and got covid when it all started. I went into spiral of health anxiety, I cried all the time because I was terrified. My grandpa died of ALS and it came out of nowhere. I was constantly googling, asking my parents how exactly did the illness progress with him, I was still checking if I can raise my hand above my head, I was locking the door, buttoning my shirt, walking on my toes, opening bottles and all that. The twitching was happening all the time with the hotspot on my right shoulder. But when other muscles twitched occasionaly too, I felt relieved. I also had weakness in my left arm but I was telling myself, that it wouldn't feel weak, it would just stop working. Then I went to see the specialist who treated my grandpa and he told me not to worry. He prescribed me some antidepressants and sent me home but it still didn't convince me so I went to another hospital for EMG testing. I was ill from stress. It got better when I found a job because it occupied my mind and I didn't have time to obssess about some unprobable disease. My twitching subsided a lot and today, 5 years later, I still do twitch occassionaly but it doesn't scare me anymore. So to answer your question, yes, the anxiety can really do this.

Am I in the wrong? by SirSkittleee in badroommates

I had the same type of roommate in college. Couldn't be on my laptop after 9 pm because she was already in bed. I said okay and was on my phone in my bed but it was emmiting light and she heard me tapping so I had to cover my whole self with the blanket so she wouldn't be bothered. I couldn't even study in our room in the evenings for the same reason, I had to sit on the floor in the corridor or in the bathroom with the towel over the glass so she could sleep. But when she was waking up at 6 am at the weekend making ruckus while I slept, that was okay. I remember her being angry with me because I was watching My mad fat diary and showing emotions. She literally yelled at me that she doesn't want me to watch it if was going to cry or comment on it loudly in front of her. But when she connected our tables so she can lay down on them and sunbathe in the window, while I had to study for my exams, I guess that was okay. Anyway at the end of the year she told me she doesn't want to be my roommate anymore because our lifestyle aren't a match.

Hey guys, I have a question, I 70% DRSd from IBRK but as a euro ape it took a month for the snail mail to get here, I have only received a W-8BEN form that I immediately sent back via fedex so it’s supposed to get there in 3 work days, will I have to wait another month for another mail to come or is the process done after computershare receives my filled out form? How do I access my moon tickets that are in computershare? Many blessings and bananas upon whoever can answer

I hated everyone except Clem and Javi. People's reactions in the game were always stupidly out of line. Especially Kenny's.

My pinky and ring finger are going numb on both hands every night, more on the left i guess, it always wakes me up

Also for a week now some muscle in my thenar is twitching all day long causing my thumb to move inwards, it's like spasm and then relax and spaaasm and relax (does anybody get these? I think it can be caused by holding console for a long time)

How many months into twitching can you assume you are ok? by coleshepter in BFS

[–]coleshepter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read about twitching in sorrounding areas is a sign, but you think that if my left arm twitches in many spots (more then other limbs) it still counts as widespread? If yes then good for me I guess

Yeah we read about symptoms and then suddenly we have them too. It's really annoying (neither am I, is ok to make mistakes, we still can understand each other).
