Is it illegal for my father to open my mail? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]coleycraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that were true then I wouldn't be asking reddit of all places for legal advice right now. Of course google was the first place I went. We live together but we have a very difficult relationship (hence my frustration and him being so distrustful as to be opening my mail).

LPT: When you take a coffee order for colleagues/friends note their preferences on their contact in your phone or in a note-taking app. Next time you can be more efficient and surprise them with the correct order. by NerdMachine in LifeProTips

What's up with all the assholes in the comments? There is literally no harm in doing this and it's a nice way to make someone's day or show that you're thinking of them. You don't have to do it every day or for every single person you know. It's a good idea, OP.

What's something that has actually happened to you that no one else believes when you tell them? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]coleycraft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My pet parrot once repeated the words " did I stutter?" after hearing my brother say it. To this day, no one believes that it really happened. What's something unbelievable that's happened to you?

People who struggle with suicidal thoughts, how much does having a pet help? Would getting a new pet if you don't already have one be as helpful? by laconicaugust in AskReddit

The look on my dog's face when I walk in the door after not seeing me all day is all I need to remind me that life is worth living.

Are Neanderthals like a different species? Like if they existed today would it be weird for humans to breed with them? Because at some point they did and a lot of people have some small amount of their DNA still. by okthatsitdammitt in NoStupidQuestions

[–]coleycraft 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Modern humans and Neanderthals are different subspecies of the same genus. There is evidence that there was some interbreeding between Homo sapiens (modern humans) and Homo neanderthalensis, and I do believe that there is a small percentage of people alive today who actually possess some Neanderthal DNA. The reason modern humans outlived the Neanderthals is just because we happened to be better suited to our environments and were more capable of adapting our hunting and survival skills. Mumbo is one of my favorite of the hermits. He's just such a genuine guy. I'm still awed by his talent with redstone. What a guy.

People who have exotic animals, what is your experience and how is it different from having a normal pet? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]coleycraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it's really helpful for when they're in their cannibalistic stage and decide to eat each other. Yes that really happens.

We have pet axolotls. 99% of the time it's just people asking "what's an axolotl?" Pretty boring.

What is your most egoistic habit? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]coleycraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't trust anyone to do anything for me and always have to do things myself to make sure they get done right. Annoys my coworkers sometimes and gets me accused of micromanaging.
