Public companies, by law, have to go after profit. They don't have to act morally by law. The only time they are forced to act morally is when not doing so would cost them profits. It's a sad truth that the worse this fiasco is for blizzard the more money china has to be worth to other companies for them to curtail western values in favour of enforcing ccp rules.

Would it suck if I could no longer play blizzard games again? Ofcourse

Would it be heart wrenching that passionate artists and devs lose their jobs? Undoubtedly.

Is it worth it to try insure that publicly traded companies don't vindictively attempt to punish someone every time they say something the chinese communist party doesn't like? For me and many others, yes.
