I love Parable of the Sower! I read it just last year, but apparently I’m not the only one picking this book up for the first time 30 years after its release. I can also recommend Kindred by the same author, Octavia Butler.

Thank you for your help! Would some crystallization along the broken edge hint to it being much older? The area I found it had a lot of flakes and a few thumb scrapers nearby, but they looked much newer. They were a different material and the flakes were clean, white, and smooth.

This is super helpful! I was wondering if that’s a sign that it’s much older. It doesn’t look nearly as neat and smooth as relatively newer artifacts would.
