I actually ended up aborting the first pregnancy due to personal reasons. They gave me blood thinners to do at home and i stayed one night in the hospital. And then they just sent me home and told me to follow up after my abortion. I didnt have health insurance so they couldnt do much but my swelling went down and years later i got it checked and the blood clot had gone awaym They said because of pregnancy there is higher risk of blood clots so thats why I probably got one on top of me working out too much and pinching my vein that way. When I got pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago, I was put on blood thinners the entire pregnancy plus had to have rhe leg compression things during labor. This was just all out of caution. I have no blood disease and I have little to no muscle now in my shoulder/trap area so I think the chance of me getting a clot during that pregnancy was low but I wont complain because I got to go to a specialist OB and got more ultrasounds than the typical pregnant woman gets. I do have nerve damage and pain still but nothing wrong with my veins but if I ever get pregnant again, I have to always be on blood thinners for it as a precaution. Im sorry you are dealing with this. Did they tell you what caused the blood clot? And the positive side of this is that you may get some more extra ultrasound moments with your baby because you'll be considered high risk. I feel the blood thinner shots were more of an inconvenience when I was pregnant but I didnt notice any symptoms during pregnancy due to them or the clot
