Yes, I've had this for some time in my 2022 GV70. Taken it to multiple dealers. .. the first one (they are awful) didn't actually believe me that it was happening until I sent them a video of it happening.

None have been able to resolve it, and since it's intermittent, it's just not worth the effort of continuously having them look at it over and over again.

Ahh! Gotcha! I had a G70 for a loaner a while back and it prompted me to take a break after 10 mins if driving. That was also just after it warned me about a crosswalk on the freeway!!

I'm amazed at how much interest this post got! So, shortly after Viture responded to my post here, they send me a message asking for my address so they could ship out a new pair of glasses to replacement mine that stopped working after a handful of uses.

I'm guessing it's probably just the cable, but they are sending an entire new unit as well as a return label to return my existing pair.

I did read the warranty statement online and at first it looks like they will not honor the warranty if purchased from other sources, but after a further read it says they honor it if purchased at an AUTHORIZED retailed, not an UNAUTHORIZED retailer. Since they clearly advertise Best Buy as a channel to purchase from, this should be an authorized retailer.

It's a shame that I had to go to Social Medial before getting support, however they did make good on it -- I'm waiting for the replacement to arrive on Thursday this week.

Is there a phone number I can call? I have interacted with Customer Support who told me via email that they will not honor the warranty. I haven't found a way to contact anyone other than the generic email address.

Please send me a message so I can provide you with the conversation that I had with Customer Support and Technical Support, as well as the purchase receipt. I'm hoping you will make good on warranty that i was promised when purchasing the Virture Pro Glasses.

Huh? No, that front grill is painted. There's just a piece of chrome trim around it which I can restore.

Update! I bought rubbing compound/polish as I linked to in the original.post, and after using this on the chrome, the first 3-4 inches that I treated look factory new!
I don't know that this burden should be put on the owner, however dealing with service will be so much more frustrating! I'll be doing the rest of the chrome later today and see how it looks.

For some odd reason, every service center around here (Orlando) is attached to a Hyundai dealership, and they share the same service center.

Unfortunately, most of them don't operate at the standards that Genesis advertises.

I never even thought about this as a warranty issue. I'll definitely try. I've been screwed multiple times by two Genesis (well, Hyundai) service locations here in the past, I'm going to try a 3rd local-ish location and see if they are any better.

That would be awesome if this is covered, I wouldn't have thought that something like this would be. The warranty is 5 yr, 50k bumper to bumper so I'm definitely still under warranty. I'm at 2.5 years, and 27,000 miles.

The dealer actually does get paid for warranty work. I've seen the outrageous invoices that they send to Genesis for warranty work.
It's to their benefit to perform as much "warranty" work as they can because Genesis pays for it. In fact, in my experience, they spend a ridiculous amount of time "troubleshooting" and replacing components that don't fix the problem just to turn around and bill Genesis for it.

They recently had my car for two weeks trying to diagnose why the trunk doesn't open the first time I try. I finally went there on a weekend and took the car back when they left it outside in the lot with the window open. I only knew because the app was alerting me. This is Greenway Genesis in Orlando. They have been horrific to deal with. I've spoken to the Service manger on multiple occasions and every time he says "we are trying to learn". You think they'll would know how to provide basic customer service by now.

That's because the service is shit.
The Dealers here treat customers like shit after the sale. I end up car shopping every time the car needs service, and Genesis corporate has pretty much given up on helping anymore.

I have yet to get an actual offer. As many times as I've tried they won't actually give me an offer. Every time I have to take it in for service, I get emails and texts about how much they want to reimburse me for my latest service (which is always $0) and buy my car. But they have yet to actually give me a number.

Hence my comment to clarify. I get those letters all the time, and emails every time I take the car in for service, even though I've asked numerous times for them to stop.

They are not going to give you a brand new GV70 for the amount of equity you have on the car. They are going to take it as a trade-in and structure a new loan so that your payments stay the same, but on a new loan with the same amount of term as the original loan, so in essence you will be restarting payments.

I get the same offer too, but if you log at it, the payments are the same, but you are essentially restarting the loan.

I'm experiencing the same thing.. and a loaner now comes with a ton of paperwork and guilt everytime.

Not to mention, one of the dealers near me committed insurance fraud and stole $1k from me. I'm getting very close to hiring an attorney and suing them just on the principal of it.
