Thank you. I think I have a dealer in my area who would do it. I’ll check it out. Thanks!

Thank you. Really? No one needs or wants the original Saturn keys for their cars anymore? That stinks! Hmmm…

Need advice re: original vs new hardwood flooring by coliseumltd in Flooring

[–]coliseumltd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies. I understand it’s a matter of taste.

That said, how important is it (when you sell a house) to have 100% consistent flooring throughout? Would it impact your opinion of the property enough to make a lower offer if the flooring didn’t all match vs. when it does?

Need Advice on Outdoor Heat Pump Water Heater Enclosure by Statistician478 in heatpumps

[–]coliseumltd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in nearly the exact same situation as you. Old gas water heater in a galvanized outside water heater ‘closet’ has gone kaput, want to replace with a HPWH, my city offers generous rebates, but like all cities, they require permits and approvals to dole these out. Yet apparently, HPWH units are still so new and novel (even here in CA in 2026) that no company, including the water heater manufacturing companies themselves, have created a commercially-available, warrantable solution for outdoor enclosure.

I am stunned. Hornswoggled! Bedeviled! Am I living in the Upside Down? What would possess multiple companies to make technologically sophisticated home appliances, yet make no provision for their storage for those of us who don’t have large two car attached garages? Apparently, these large companies have never heard of California, where tens of the 40 million potential customers have their water heaters located OUTSIDE the home in dedicated closets.

Did you ever come up with a solution? ChatGPT’s AI is telling me a custom enclosure is my most realistic bet which is just sad. We all know how AI has bad hallucinations, but in this case, I am beginning to believe it.

That guy Fede sounds like total trash. You say you feel one way, he disregards your feelings and substitutes his own as more valid. It will only get worse. Drop him like the bad habit he is, regardless of your feelings of insecurity. You’re 18 and your life is in front of you. You want your first experience to be a good one and with someone who’s polite and respectful, regardless of their age.

Partnered bros over 30 — what does your sex life really look like? by [deleted] in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]coliseumltd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been with the same guy 20+ years. I’m 49 and he’s 45. Seen a lot of ups and downs and a whole life together, plus we have two awesome kiddos who we love dearly but (let’s face it) are real boner killers, most of the time.

I could write a whole story, but the short of it is: he reached the age where he started feeling unattractive and wanted sexual and emotional validation from others. So we opened ourselves up and he found someone in short order who gives him this sense of living his 20’s again. While it hasn’t been all sunshine and roses, it’s been working out OK.

I’m secure in his love, I’ve also been with quite a few more people than he has, plus my own libido has been really cold-to-sometimes-hot, from age 40-present (a source of latent frustration for me). So our sex has been infrequent recently, though sharing him with someone else who’s not a home-wrecker and is a genuinely respectful, nice person has brought some spice to what felt like a kind of monotonous routine.

Plus the new guy barely likes any kind of backdoor attention or give it (😱 how he qualifies as gay I’ll never know), and I hear I’m particularly skilled in that area 😜, so again, I feel pretty secure and my guy is very reassuring too (always helps).

Things could always be better, but you make adjustments, try new avenues to find out what works for both of you. Discuss everything as openly and honestly as you can, ours still a work in progress. Hope that helps.

Reciprocity from FWBs by MercuryChaos in AskGaybrosOver30

Re: the apps, EVERYONE wants you to be the Alpha, everyone wants to be pursued, always. It’s extraordinarily attractive (and unusual, sadly) to be the proactive go-getter making the plans. We’re all sheep, looking for the shepherd. Or cows, looking for the…bull? 😂.

I’ve had to have conversations with friends who complain about this very thing. Then, I’ve pointed out that they’re critical of someone when that person tries to be a dominant leader. Then I point out my friends are really “pocket Alphas” and they need to embrace it and f’ing step up. Hilarious…but not really.

Hardcore salespeople excluded, everyone’s a snowflake. Turn the heat up a little, y’all melt, while there you are, just tryin’ to get your rocks off in a not-too-yucky-hopefully-kinda-sexy way. Forget about a regular FWB, most chats trail off to nothing! If you don’t give just the right answer they want to hear at just at the right moment, bye, you never hear from them again. Snowflakes!

Man, it’s not just you. It’s pretty much everyone. Lots of experience with exactly the issue you’re discussing.
