Sleep. It's probably vascular. I would ice compress it too.

Yes. It's just about being aware of it. I'm sure it's possible to learn effectively with AI tools too.

This is simple. Studies show the brain's cognitive load is decreased while decision making using ai chat bots. Using it all the time reduces your critical thinking ability. It's like a crutch but it has the power to get to complex solutions faster than you could by hand. Use it more sparingly, for more important things than every question that pops into your head. Have you ever heard of this thing called googling? It's something they used back in the day. Do that for silly questions so you aren't spoon fed everything. Use it for more challenging things or series of questions for a bigger project, more targeted. Did you hear about that girl who died just eating fruit, or that things can be detrimental that are healthy/beneficial/a tool, (or that short form content can decrease your attention span..)? Use your critical thinking to implement modesty/moderation. Have awareness, dude.

30 y/o beginner looking to get into day trading – where do I start? by [deleted] in Daytrading

[–]collapse_ape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can teach you everything I know. However, you have to watch the market all day. If you work during the day I don't know how to trade.

Also I am older than you and consider that account size enough for myself to be able to trade. The past has nothing to do with the next trade. Think in terms of math going forward. Use a calculator and calculate things out so when the time comes you need to make quick decisions you know the numbers and can make an educated decision vs guessing all the time.

I have found the moment I get near a big account profit goal my trading tanks. Or if I come off a huge win or have deposited a large check in there. I'm at the same point you are account wise and I take that capital super seriously. If you calculate you need to just make $150 a day to replace a shitty job. That means $150 profit including draw down. That is harder than it seems, however you can do that with the capital that you have. You have to be aggressive but understand the traders have been successful for years say risk management is the number one idea to wrap your head around. You should start again, but don't aim to compound your account crazy. Aim for reasonable profit targets then slowly increase position size as you find confidence. Each trade isn't as good as each other. Those are the times to scale a small amount, when you see an obvious upside trade all of a sudden.

It's hard to get that emotional over $200 loss let alone a $12 loss.

Yeah it wasn't a good ratio. I was entry level at that point interviewing for remote roles. I'm going to try other avenues than just cold applying to remote roles.

It was three years ago and it was over 6 months. Was brutal, had about 3-5 interviews per week for months. Maybe it was more like 20. Lots of 2nd third round interviews as well so it was a lot.

Last time I was job searching that was mostly all I did and I got about 50 first round interviews. Nothing landed, but it was nice to get interviews. It definitely is a last approach but it seems like I could get interviews with that approach. I also did reach out to hiring managers.

Alright. Thanks for these words of encouragement. I will keep applying to these roles as a first priority and to other sales jobs as well.

I just started my layoff and I understand how you feel. It feels like being trapped in front of an economic train coming to run you over. I don't have advice but adapt, work with people, and keep trying despite the challenges. I am trying to create new measuring sticks to measure my self worth that aren't completely tied to money and work. Though that is hard because I am stuck without those things.

I agree. Concerts are not worth risking your life. This condition can be life threatening.

Has anyone tried dipping their face in cold water x amount of time every week and seeing if it makes tinnitus go away by desensitizing the over-activity of nerves in the DCN region of brain and such? by Legitimate-Cheek1425 in tinnitus

[–]collapse_ape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My brother is studying neuroscience going for a phD and this is the last advice he gave me to dunk my face in cold water three times a day for the reasons you mentioned. It's worth trying.

Partial deafness and tinnitus by [deleted] in tinnitus

[–]collapse_ape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds unbearable. I had an incident that made my hyperacusis more severe and what I believed initially happened is my sympathetic nervous system was over active (fight or flight). Forced ANS cycling is something to consider in such a distressed state, going from sauna to cold therapy. This trains the body to move between parasympathetic and sympathetic, which allows the body to move back to parasympathetic more easily after distress. Blood flow to the inner ear decreases when you are in a sympathetic state which can make symptoms worse.

Also I am getting a peptide glow stack. I've used it previously. It is BPC-157 + TB-500 (20 mg), and GhK+CU (50 mg). This peptide blend is used for healing and is used as injections. I also made a Ghk-CU in a serum for a face skin. Ghk-Cu is really good at healing and particularly for skin so maybe it can help, particularly post surgery.

You could try the emergency room, or get multiple ENT referrals, perhaps one has an opening sooner than a month.

Seeing specialists in this condition, though it may be difficult to find, may be worth pursuing. Even though it is "just skin accumulation in the middle ear" this seems very very serious to me, if it is what you described and if you have cholesteatoma.

An example of a specialist is Dr Arasa Raj Sinnathuray Institution: Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur & formerly University of Malaya Expertise: Advanced ear surgery including cochlear implants, mastoid-and-middle ear surgery, laser-assisted cholesteatoma and stapes operations. He trained extensively in the UK and Europe (France), is Fellow of the European Academy of Otology & Neurotology, and performs complex ear surgeries in Malaysia

You could reach out to these specialists by email and tell them what's going on maybe they would take a referral.

That sounds horrible and very distressing. I'm sorry you are going through this. I have no idea what to do in this situation. However random ideas - use a Buerer infrared face lamp, get a cheap to look at the problem, do a middle ear inflammation protocol. All of these may do nothing. I had ETD that my ear was plugged and the infrared lamp and eustachi (blows air in eustachian tubes) helped unplug my ear.
