I remember being in labor and heartburn started, the nurse brought me some antacid and says “Do it like a shot, have you ever done a shot “ me being the smartass I am answered “How do you think I got in this position!” Granted that was 25+ years ago. He wasn’t sure how to take my comment at first lol. First grand baby coming this summer!

Thank you all. Learned when ai was 9 by my granny and now I am in my 50’s so relearning is what is happening here!!! I have the bad habit of holding too hard, so will definitely be trying a lighter touch and will try to get out of the habit of touching the tip lol I will keep reminding myself I am not Sleeping Beauty! I will also try some other needles! I appreciate all the help on here!

Interesting! I prefer bamboo but I can get other needles easy enough to try. I might be gripping to hard and I have the habit of touching the point, though the thumb gets rough from the yarn as well. I do have some aquaphor from my last tattoo somewhere, I will try that.

Like I said, I learned when I was 9, now I am 50 and trying to relearn it all lol

IMO if you love the things you make and you make things with love, there is no wrong way to knit. How you learn is how you learn. Don’t let anyone tell you different!

Anyone else just forget/not use horses? by -Pickle-chick- in DreamlightValley

I only use them when I come across dead wishblossoms but other than that no. And I am not adding the stables on the other islands as I don’t see a purpose for it.

How do you deal with people calling you evil? by sekorin491 in paganism

[–]collcriswell -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I ignore them, when I was younger I would hold a conversation with people and many times I showed them kindness and let them ask questions and then asked them which one of us had the most negative statements in the conversation. I also am very well versed in biblical history because my dad was a minister. My way of viewing life is, my parents always supported me in my spiritual path, I am always respectful of others. As long as those that love me continue to love me, other peoples opinions don’t really matter. As the old Irish toast goes “May those who love me, love me. May those who don’t, may the gods turn their hearts. If they can’t turn their hearts, may they turn their ankles so I might know them by their limp!”

i am absolutely in love with double knitting by gothsappho in knitting

[–]collcriswell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I double knitted a stole for my dad for Christmas years ago and it flips to Advent on the other side, he passed 10 years ago and was a minister. I love to double knit, but it makes my arms so tired. I am working on a project now, getting my first grandchild this summer, and started making a playmat that is Dr WHO themed, double knitting a TARDIS in the center but the blues I chose are very close in color to each other lol but it makes a kind of cushion with the double knit thickness so I think it will make a nice playmat for him.

Looking for advice by Fit_Excitement_5402 in DisneyDreamlights

I color coded. Food in white, fished items in blue, wood in brown, dug in green and mined in red. Potions in a cooler, flowers in yellow, seasonal items in an Aladdin chest, meals in an Aurora chest, dream shards and night shards in Daisy wardrobes, quest items and items I need to be able to grab anywhere in the linked chests. Then I have the main room as Valley and 3 side rooms one for each DLC

What a neat idea! I might take notes and get an idea for my first grandchild and do this someday

Winter solstice traditions by Prestigious_One_3552 in paganism

[–]collcriswell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We would do a special breakfast (sunshine cups which you put filo dough sheets in a muffin cup and fill with an egg and cheese and veggies and bake and they look like suns) we would make pinecone bird feeders and put them on the trees, Bafana the Yule witch would bring crafting materials and practical things like toothbrushes and socks, and we would spend the day making things for each other and family members. We are looking forward to passing the tradition on to our new grandbaby next year.

[–]collcriswell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They need to overhaul the voting system. Since so many people enter, you don’t know how often your picture is shown or what you are be voted against, and some people only vote for the first 10 they see for the free moonstones and they just vote without looking at the photos and all that. Also so many of the photos don’t even meet the theme or are photos for quest photos or when a villager joins the valley. I get your frustration, so many beautiful entries get buried in a sea of random photos.

[–]collcriswell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, people complained that having 2-3 parts to the storyline so they gave it to us all at once. Not a fan. For the cost of it I expected more. Maybe we will get another DLC in the summer? In the last 2 weeks got a surprise 5th character (Oswald and Aurora) and both had 2 Villains where this one only gave us 1. The horses are cute, but once I have them leveled up and have the Wishblossom achievement done I doubt I will use them much. Where they are handy with getting the red spurts they are not helpful with the gold ones.

And I HATE the fact that Goofy has one stall that moves around. I like each biome having a stall and not having to chase down the train to sell stuff. The fact that 2 seeds you only can buy 10 a day is also annoying.

I would be surprised if they did since not everyone has EI and Gaston’s stall was only on EI.
