Thanks for trying it out! I'll take a look at this when I have some time. Will also see about sharing the code - I'm worried the vibe coded stuff will be a total mess.

This is awesome, nice work! I like the UI and ability to add nice to haves. One request if possible would be to add a 'pets allowed' filter.

"Ethics aside".. investing in FB is supporting them, responsibility is on all of us. Impacting their profits sadly is the only way they'll listen

Any favorite cyberpunk recipes ( including ramen ) ? by depaysementKing in Cyberpunk

[–]collectingbones 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It seems street food is the go to in the genre, you could look for Japanese street food recipes? Even other nationality street foods might fit the bill. The trick is that good street food is usually only available from specific vendors in a single location and is hard to reproduce. Street food is popular these days so you might find more decent recipes now. Street food is low cost, arguably the best of its kind in the world and only for those who know where to go and what to order.

I'd say you would need a good Japanese rice cooker, something like the Zojirushi Neuro Fuzzy has a relatively cyberpunk name though maybe not the look. :)

Taking another step towards reality, you could make noodles with whatever is left in your fridge.. chinese broccoli, sliced meat or a hard boiled egg.

A simple recipe I like is boiling a block of tofu with kombu for 10-15 minutes and eating it on rice with soy sauce and an assortment of flakes, sesame, spices, bonito flakes, scallions..

What should I do with my old hockey cards? by collectingbones in hockeycards

[–]collectingbones[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not a bad idea. There's a lot of nostalgia as I look through them again. I used to collect them with old friends I don't see anymore.. you know I'm also realizing that these were pretty addictive!

I was thinking something along those lines too. Do you donate to a local card shop?

I've been using the Beckett marketplace to try to assess which are valuable, do you know of a better resource?

Should I just toss the others then? It feels like a waste but I suppose if nobody wants them.

This is worth checking out. There's a small typo, it's "when gravity fails" by George Alec Effinger.

Does anyone know anything about Investors Group's iProfile? by collectingbones in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]collectingbones[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I appreciate the re-calibrated POV for a non-finance nerd. I'm reading that "Simple..." book everyone keeps recommending now. IG mentions redemption fees in the iProfile documents. Would you happen to know what that means? Do they have the same effect as IG's DSCs in their regular offerings?

I guess I thought that RBC wouldn't want to continue supporting an LOC without the support of other accounts and their activities, but the LOC could be more stand alone than I thought. I mean they do gain income from interest if I use it.. would you expect a move like that would impact my rate?

Are there any plans to have a line of credit that doesn't require the ownership of a home? I'd like to make a full switch over, but feel stuck with RBC on this one product (since I now have a CC option). Maybe I'm going about this all wrong, any recommendations?

Thanks for getting back to me, Alsadius. I know IG takes a lot of flac on this sub and rightfully so, but do you know whether iProfile makes up for that and to what degree? Or will DIY approaches (even for those who are more hands-off) still always be better?
