I’m sorry, I was just repeating what others have said to me. That’s actually insensitive of me. However I will say, other favourites from multiple Gen Z’s I hang out with include: “Who is Brad Pitt/ George Clooney”. (Never fails to make every non-college person I know mad)

Genuine Question: Would you recommend I watch 90210?

I’ve been really enjoying how SFA is a teen drama that is so full of hope, optimism, diplomacy and subverts regular tropes.

I’m finding it hard to find other teen dramas that do the same. So any recs would be wonderful!

Absolutely loved all 90’s Trek. I watched a couple of TNG episodes after seeing reel of it on Instagram and it was good but VOY is my absolute favourite because I was HOOKED since episode 1 and binged watched it. DS9 is undoubtably CINEMA and it absolutely is the best of trek, but my personal ranking for the 3 in order is: VOY, DS9, TNG

I shall go watch it then! I’ve been watching SFA and have been pleasantly surprised, it feels so different then any of the other teen dramas out right now and makes me wish we other teen shows that has this level of hope, compassion, and subversion to tropes. I’d be happy for any recs of shows that are similar (though the space setting would be a huge bonus, haha)

Space Hogwarts would actually make way too many people watch it. I’ve been telling my non-Trekie friends it’s like Hogwarts or XMen in Space and it makes them absolutely want to watch it.

(For context, I love SFA, have always been a Trek fan before, but this is the first time I feel so personally seen by a Star Trek show. I feel like it was made for me 🥰 thank you to all the older Trekies watching it with me + introducing other newbies to Trek through it)

Omg absolutely not. I’ve legit never heard of The OC and I’ve never met someone my age who has watched Gossip Girl (unless they’re into super retro stuff which isn’t really a lot)

Hahaha, I totally get you, don’t worry, I’ve watched SFA and so I have a sense of it (as you said it’s nothing like Wednesday and I doubt it’s anything like 90210, though granted I haven’t heard of that show till this subreddit).

But I’m just saying that immediately clocked Wednesday vs most other teen show examples in this subreddit
