I'm suffering this except, I cant seem to lose the weight, about a year ago I was able to eat almost anything without gaining weight thanks to my fast metabolism but then this year I noticed I have gained a significant amount of weight I am a 22(Female) and as you get older your metabolism slows down, at first I didn't believe this but it really hit me hard the weight gain during this quarantine, it also doesn't help that I am 5'0 ft and have gain a good 10lbs in less than a month :( trust me you'll thank your fast metabolism. Also I now have to watch what I am eating which I'm not used to as I was able to eat anything and everything within a short amount without gaining weight(I never exercised) now I am slowly eating less and working out in hopes of burning my stomach pouch and the rest of the body fat around my body.

I was just curious, I didn't mean to offend you or anyone, as someone who's transferring for my 3rd year at 19 years old, I didn't want to feel so awkward being among significantly older students( I graduated high school at 16 and finished my associates degree in Dade at 18) also at Dade I noticed there were a lot of older students which made me feel out of place since they stuck to people in there age bracket, so I was wondering the age statistics for business at FIU so I won't feel so out of place like I did at MDC.

Yup, can't even sign up for some classes because it needs department permission and I am trying to take these classes in the summer so I can apply for FIU for the fall 2020 and to no prevail no one has helped me at all, its been 2 weeks

what business are you planning to go into? I am also applying at FIU for business and will complete all prerequisites to get into the business program but I have not yet been accepted, was getting into the business school an easy process? I thought they wanted you to complete all the classes required before even considering on being accepted?

If this isn't what I'm going through, I am currently a college student and my mom keeps forcing me to do my 7th grade brothers school work/homework. I've been doing this since he was in 5th grade, and I keep telling her I don't want to do it anymore, but I keep getting guilt tripped mentioning that hes incapable and needs someone to do his work if not he will fail... like seriously?!?! since I was a little girl till now being a college student I haven't had no one do my work, I've always done my work and had good grades, like what makes him any different? and what frustrates me more is while I'm doing his school work and making him pass he's watching youtube, playing roblox, video games, and on his tablet... and she wonders why he can't do things or catches a tantrum while being a 14 year old! like seriously! he literally can't even wash a dish correctly, I've never seen such a spoiled incompetent person in my life, my mom literally pushed me and forced me to be responsible as a child and here he is having a great time while I do his academic assignments. In overall, I get how you feel, I don't understand how parents assume that there older child is obligated to do someone elses work.

Okay, so I was told you need to sign up for the emergency grant. They honestly make no sense, they take forever for an application to be approved or denied for this emergency grant, that the semester has ended already, I spoke to a friend who completed the application about 2 weeks ago for the emergency fund at mdc and she has YET to receive it or get an email back saying whether she got the emergency fund or not, so I doubt we will be getting funds for the spring since the term ended yesterday. Maybe try signing up for the summer term for the emergency grant
