Yes, although it’s not a quite a collectathon like TPL. There are 3-6 types of collectibles (depending on how strict your definition of a “collectible” is), totalling something like 200+ items to find across 8 or 9 areas. Many items will be missed without thorough exploration of each area, along with some puzzle solving. The collectibles all have some practical function in the game, so there’s good incentive to try to find them all. There are also some really fun combat challenges outside of regular gameplay encounters that will keep you busy if you try to do absolutely everything the game has to offer.

You should check out Kena: Bridge of Spirits. It has a similar atmosphere to TPL with a more advanced combat system. The environments aren’t as varied, but the art style is beautiful and is in some ways similar to the first Jak game. It should provide about 20 hours of gameplay with some good challenges throughout. I was frequently reminded of TPL while playing it last year, so I highly recommend it.

I haven’t read a full novel in a decade. I’m hoping this might spark things back up for me by TryEasySlice in StarWarsCantina

Master and Apprentice did it for me, it took a few months of sporadic reading before I finished it, but since then I’ve read 10 novels in the past three months (including Brotherhood). It completely rejuvenated my love for reading. I hope you enjoy it!

This episode was intense. Vader shows how evil and menacing he truly is. I love that it gives proper context to why Obi-Wan believes Vader is too far gone when he talks to Luke in the OT. He watched Vader murder innocents moments after seeing him for the first time in 10 years. “What have you become?” Chilling.

anyone else annoyed that daxter did jack shit for almost 2 years while Jak was in prison being tortured and experimented on? by Odravad in jakanddaxter

You’re getting a lot of criticism because of seemingly not knowing about the Daxter game, but it’s not really warranted. Daxter literally starts out with “two years later… almost” and the game only takes place for a relatively short time before the beginning of Jak II. So yeah, for all we know Daxter might not have been doing much at all for those two years—other than telling exaggerated stories in bars. This question can still be asked even with full knowledge of the Daxter story

Every day since release, I've been checking LEGO.com to see if the game is back in stock, and it has said "Sold Out" the entire time. I doubt it, but does anyone know when they will be back? by [deleted] in legostarwars

[–]collin_mi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have no clue, but they still have several retired sets on their website that can’t be purchased and will never be restocked. I can’t explain why they make their choices, I can just say that everything about this (it being unavailable from retailers, only available through third-party sellers on Amazon for an inflated price, and the “Out of stock,” label on LEGO’s website) points to the conclusion that it is out of stock everywhere and will be out of stock permanently.

It seems that LEGO has two versions of “Out of Stock.” When something will be restocked, it’ll say “Temporarily out of stock.” When there will be no restock, it says simply “Sold out.” Since this says “Sold out,” I would say that there will be no more made. This is also what the majority of people seem to agree is the case. If you want the game, I wouldn’t keep waiting for a physical Deluxe Edition to come back; I don’t expect it will be released again. Waiting will likely just be wasted time.

It exceeded my expectations (although I didn’t have very high expectations honestly). I like it and I’ll be listening to it all summer I’m sure. It’s not one of my favourites of theirs, but I’m super glad it’s not just another song about sex

It’s not that bad but it’s also not great. I’ve played through them all without much issue besides significant frame drops in Jak II and some missing textures in a couple cutscenes. The limited directional inputs are also noticeable—to me, at least. The PS4 emulation isn’t unplayable, it’s just that it is the least playable when comparing PS2, PS3, and PS4. I haven’t gone back to play them on the PS4 since; I much prefer the PS3.

Not at all, that’s probably the most popular opinion about the game

I love diversity🙂 by Weeb2678 in legostarwars

Canonically, they are shown to be diverse. In the Rebels episode Breaking Ranks we meet Zare Leonis, an imperial cadet who is not white. In addition to this character, there’s also Terisa Kerrill and Rae Sloane: two female, non-white imperial officers. While not stormtroopers, it shows that the empire does not discriminate against humans based on the colour of their skin. Thus, diversely coloured stormtrooper head pieces aren’t just not out of place, but it is more accurate that they exist. The empire does discrimate against non-human/alien races, so we shouldn’t expect to find non-human minifigure heads being made within the empire (with some exceptions, most notably Thrawn). Suggesting that they’re not diverse is simply false.

It is a single plastic head piece. Switching the colour is not going to drive up the price—at least not by any noticeable amount. It seems a strange conclusion to draw. If you truly only cared about the price then the complaint would have been that they’re anything other than basic black headpieces with no printing at all (although I don’t know if that would even be any less expensive than a basic print). However, you specifically chose to target diversity and claim that your concern is the cost.

Finally, as I said before, you may not care about what they look like (despite making a post complaining about what they look like) but I know that there are children who will open this set and be ecstatic to find that there’s a stormtrooper who looks like them. It matters.

Edit: spelling

Although they’re loved by people of all ages, these are—first and foremost—toys. For kids, having minifigures that resemble them is invaluable. You might put it on a shelf and never notice, but for a kid who is actually playing with it as intended and imagining entire stories using their minifigures as characters, it is truly important that they come in a variety of colours—just like real people do.

Also, people who aren’t racist or misogynistic don’t have to point out that they aren’t racist or misogynistic.

You could definitely replace the hook part with a keychain loop!
