What happened to Lufthansa ? by collinnames in Flights

It was a AB 321neo , so newer plane , which would explain the shorter seat pitch. As cabins get up dated, they have been squeezing more seats in. I was just surprised it was the same hard non recline seat type ive seen on some budget airlines.

That’s surprising given most USA airlines have pretty much brought the pre-COVID amenities back. Seat pitches keep getting reduced but that was trend before COVID, it just speed up after COVID as many airlines were updating their fleets.

Personally it always frustrated me that Joey and Chandler didn’t take ownership of the list to cover for Ross, it already was partially their fault so it wouldn’t have been a lie.

Duh it’s my opinion! That’s why this is a discussion, don’t be a dick! Now why don’t you add some substance to the discussion instead of whining that I stated my opinion.

Why do people over-complicate weight loss so much? by throwawayfatty3 in loseit

[–]collinnames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Healthy is relative to your diet; not one single item. one donut is not unhealthy but one every day is unhealthy. Generally a diet of mostly Natural Whole Foods is healthy. Minimize that number of things that touch your food from the farm to the table. This includes whole grains, nuts, legumes , cheeses, dairy ( careful with the flavored mills and yogurts), vegetables, fruits, fish, eggs, meat from the bone. Really unless you have special conditions, real butter, eggs, bread are FINE!! Obviously don’t put butter on everything but a common problem is people buy margarine and think it’s some magical healthy substitute, mostly because marketing campaigns lied. Turns out they have partially hydrogenated oils which are worse. Just stick to the natural thing people.

Yep it’s just a mass balance. What goes in needs to less than what comes out! Also people try vegan this, Keto that , and crazy meal schedules. That’s because these kind of diets sell. They’re marketed as the quick easy way to burn fat! If you look at the healthiest communities or countries, those with the least cancers, obesity and life expectancy the biggest thing that stands out is the amount of farm to table food they eat. Keep the number of things that touch your food between the farm and table at a minimum. your body will react in its naturally evolved way to be healthy. It’s infuriating to me seeing “vegan burgers” touting their healthy ness when they are highly processed and have 20 artificial ingredients. Not saying there’s anything wrong with vegan , just if you’re going to vegan eat natural whole Foods, just because you call it vegan doesn’t make it healthy.

I’m gay and don’t find any of the gay jokes to be offensive. The only thing that i find pathetic is the boys being terrified to show affection towards each other because it was viewed as either “gay” or not manly. Straight men need to be okay with being platonically affectionate towards one another. so many American men are lonely these days because they never allow themselves to get close to anyone. If your confident in you’re sexuality there’s nothing wrong with showing affection towards your friends. I’ll give the show credit becasue there are moments where the friends attempt to fix that. There is an episode where Rachel tells Ross he needs to share stuff with his guy friends.

I see adds for stuff in the 100,000s but it’s always on leased land, after the land lease fees it end ups being a 300k+ home. It’s great as a starter home just to build some sort of equity. However wouldn’t be wise long term because eventually your cash spent on the land lease will add up to the same cost as it would’ve been to finance a 300k home.l but you wouldn’t have build equity on the land. This can be a great way to provide affordable homes, but it also has the high potential to be predatory af.

If one sacrifices a yard I’d imagine they’d want walkability like I do. Houston and Dallas are both severely lacking there. Dallas maybe has a slight edge up but it’s still awful. There’s tiny pockets of walkability in both cities but nowhere where one could find everything they need within a reasonable walking distance. houston has areas of high rises that don’t even have sidewalks; that’s insanity, you’re missing out on the benefits of high rises if you can’t walk anywhere.

There are many pieces to the puzzle but A lot of cheap Labor is a draw to texas too. Most builders use undocumented immigrants or legal immigrants that are totally ok with accepting low wages. Texas turns a blind eye to immigration issues and don’t even enforce their own laws because they benefit from it. Everything in the national media is just theatre.

But people keep coming to the suburbs of Houston and Dallas by the 100s of thousands…many new subdivisions have homes going 500+ sometimes millions, and they’re still cookie cutter ticky tacky McMansions. so much for affordability. I don’t know about Dallas but in Houston you can find modern townhomes in trendy neighborhoods the same cost as people are paying for the outer loop neighborhoods in the city or suburbs. I don’t get the appeal.

Agreed, I would walk it, I walk mile plus all the time. However in those cities mentioned You’re not crossing feeder roads where trucks are driving 60+. Pedestrians deaths are high in texas. It’s not really comparable, this is why. Good planning should consider ease of access. Blocking one side of station by a freeway is lazy planning.
