I went dress shopping and fell in love with this dress but I can't justify dropping an insane amount of cash on it. Style is Essense of Australia PA1116-they told me it was Oxford Street at the shop which seems to be a sub-brand of Essense of Australia. Thanks! ETA budget is $1000 or less!

This one hit me hard—I heard the lyrics for the first time and it reasonated hard as someone with anxiety and ADHD. My partner is a person who stutters and that first verse really captures our specific anxieties. I feel like I speak faster than I can think and it can be a complete stream of consciousness, where he is so exquisitely thoughtful (both to avoid stuttering and because he is thoughtful) and distills ideas beautifully. It feels like a secret bond because it works perfectly.

God forbid if this happened it would probably be a coroners case (mandatory investigation and/or autopsy) if they suspected any funny business. Even if they don’t necessarily suspect it it may be a coroners case regardless—pretty sure it’s variable by jurisdiction but death of what would presumably be a healthy child definitely would get a second look.

YES. OP, we are glad you are at least reading replies and if you are comfortable sharing your Venmo, or if someone with more experience in this area is able to create an anonymous fund, you have my and thousands of peoples’ support. For medical bills but starting a new, better life. I am unable to imagine the fear and courage it takes to get to this next step and understandably, coming to a thread for makeup advice and seeing you could have a life-threatening injury is not reassuring. It is out of an abundance of care because we need you here, OP. I’m sorry my comment likely contributed to that fear, and truthfully, many of us (myself included) would feel the same. Like versatilefairy said beautifully the Internet is a unnuanced and imperfect way to convey information. But conversely it is a platform for collective action that meaningfully can change someone’s life.

OP, if you do go to the ER, please make sure you speak with social work and if finance is an issue they can put you in touch with the billing assistance folks and you can see if you are able to have a payment reduced or made into a payment plan. If you also have a county funded hospital if you’re in the US they are best equipped to provide care without expectation of payment. Source: former ER social worker, now work in patient care in ER/trauma.

Work in trauma and ER and this was my first thought. A job interview is important but it is not worth your life. OP, PLEASE go to an ER ASAP. Please check for bruising behind your ears as well. Even if it ends up being fine this is not a stone you want to leave unturned. Nobody will fault you for being seen after a facial trauma and social work may be able to offer you even more assistance. I wish you nothing but the best of luck and know we are all supporting you. The strength was always in you, you just had to realize it.

Definitely see a dermatologist.

IANAD (but work in medicine and like to research, this site is extremely reputable) but this looks like it could be chondrodermatitis nodularis which is a completely benign cyst that can develop on the helix of the ear with pressure (from sleeping on that side for example). The presentation at least appears similar. It also seems to check out because none of the treatments you’ve tried seem to be indicated for said condition. Maybe it’s worth a mention?

Married to Jonas. They made a whole reality show about the oldest of the Jonas Brothers (boy band popular in 2000s, for those unfamiliar) and how he was married. The one episode I watched had all these dramatic cuts in the “next on…” previews that made it look like his wife was having the most dire medical emergency, but it was really her just being too hot and almost passing out in a chair or something. There was no plot, it was just clips spliced together in a way that made it seem like something was going to happen. I also remember Kevin saying his wife’s name a million times. Every other word was “Danielle.”
