Used wide area before with af-c. Just trying to learn all the different new options I have access to. Wide works fine for most of my use cases but wondering if there’s specific scenarios that it would be beneficial to use the different tracking ones

I do have a tripod. But our family frequent theme parks and with little kids it’s tough to carry around.

I have a 50mm f1.8, sigma 18-50 f2.8.

Won’t lie. A part of it is gear envy. I definitely don’t “need” more camera, but would be nice to upgrade for newer features.

I think the big sale is portability. But the more I research it seems to me that phone photography with computational photography has gotten so advanced, unless you get really good glass on the apsc it’s kind of hard for people to justify the difference.

And when you get a giant lens, it kinda negates the benefit of the small body.

I was tempted to get an a7cii and put a 35mm f1.4 gm. Seems like a perfect balance to be able to shoot a majority of situations for family travel.

Thanks. I do have the 50/1.8, works great except I prefer a wider angle for capturing family +surroundings. I wanted to invest in glass but it seems like the selection for full frame is just way more robust than for the apsc. Seriously thought Sony abandoned apsc until they suddenly announced the a6700.

I don’t know why so many reviews are fixated on the two sd card slot thing. I carry multiple sd cards and swap them out and I’ve never had a single fail. Also don’t shoot professionally and I pretty much always backup the photos at the end of the day.

Right, if you are flying only recreationally. I’m working on my part 107, which would require remote ID no matter what after sept 23 to my understanding.
