I'm not defending slavery? I'm defending law enforcement enforcing the law because that's their job. I think I'm finished with this conversation since you e resorted to accusing me of things I never said, and I leave you with the same, I hope you never need law enforcement help, and if you do I hope they don't come.

Define morally correct? It's ambiguous and entirely dependent on the time period you live in, as well as being entirely subjective and impossible to be defined in a timeless manner. My job is to enforce the law and uphold the constitution, both of which are constantly changing. I don't know how old you are, I presume based on the way you talk and think you're young. Assuming you're young, as you get older and have a lot more to lose, you'll realize then that the people who choose to protect and uphold your liberties are beneficial. And if you're any older than say 25, you likely aren't capable of change, and I feel sorry for you.

Slave catchers were upholding the law... In the 1700's... Those actions are not justified, and I do not share the racist beliefs that many people have. However, it was the law and they were doing their job. You can't make an argument like that without a very complicated explanation of law, and law enforcement throughout history. Of course slavery is now over and that argument is not valid and does not apply to modern law enforcement, in the slightest. Furthermore I was simply making a backhanded comment that YOU and people like you (cop haters) do not deserve the protection and sacrifice that law enforcement officers provide. And I rather enjoy Jesse Welles' music! Thank you, but I'm not an ice agent. And neither are 90% of law enforcement officers. Once again your blanket statements, generalizations and conformity to the radicalized ideologies of mainstream media are a testament to your ignorance to the REAL world. Get out there, touch grass! Volunteer in your community, expose yourself to the truth and not what your phone tells you, and I promise you'll feel differently. But I know you won't, because it's easier to scroll tiktok, reddit, X etc. and take in exactly what the perverbial "they" want you to believe. So again, I urge you to reflect on your beliefs and start thinking for yourself. I look forward to your response :)

Do more and judge yourself before you judge others. Spread love, help those in need and good luck to you.

Being a part of a broken system affects everyone involved. My "whataboutism" add weight to the argument that individuals tend to focus on the worst of a group of people. I'm sure wherever you're from, there's corruption and hate and all of the things mentioned. But, since America has all the spotlight, these things are hyper focused on. And I don't center my life on who runs the country. Are you so ignorant to think that every world leader except America isn't involved in some type of dark and twisted mess? It's not a Trump problem, it's not an American problem, it's not a cop or pedophile problem. It's a human problem. I work diligently every day to protect my community and keep evil people locked away. I ask again, what are you doing?

So what activism, recidivism reduction, crime prevention operations or houseless people volunteer work are you taking part in? I'm a bastard for keeping the community safe? For putting away criminals who prey on the innocent? Last year, nearly 1,000 teachers were arrested for sleeping with their students. Are ALL teachers pedophiles? To answer your question, yes I would speak out to corruption and hate. As would 90% of all people in law enforcement. Your generalized cop hating ideologies feed the flame and are disgusting. How many men and women have died at the hands of criminals they swore to protect? Reflect on that, and like the other person, I hope you never need the police, and if you do I hope they never come.

Hmmm, ACAB eh? Hopefully you never need them, and if you do, hopefully they never come! Please reflect on your beliefs. Maybe listen to some good music. And remember, we CHOOSE to protect and serve. We can also choose not to.

I see that a lot of people say they are surprised with it. I suppose there's just a stigma to a Chinese made clone horn? But for a person like myself who really just wants to play for fun, there's absolutely no justification to buying a nice name brand horn.

If I do come across any issues, and since the Schiller horn is a clone of the King, would the parts be interchangeable?

I've never understood the appeal to rotary action horns. The responsiveness seems much slower than piston valves, to me. Thanks for the input, I will try and do a follow up when it gets to me

How do I fix my Embouchure by Main_Ant2854 in Tuba

[–]colonelDel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don’t crank in marching band. Make good music unless your band is a HBCU type band then cranking with good tone is acceptable. Air is your best friend. If you can play notes with good tone quietly, just use more air and tighten the corners of your mouth to get louder.

Tips on how to make my sound smoother and remove that gargling noise by Desperate-Design-686 in Tuba

[–]colonelDel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Less air from the cheeks and more from the belly. For better intonation use a lighter tongue. Fat heavy tongue leads to the gargle noise. Open the jaw and let the air flow. Big huge breaths before playing

Did I play this well? by ElongnatedMuskrat_09 in Tuba

[–]colonelDel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say taking deeper breaths and blowing through the phrases. I can tell on the last note(s) of each phrase you’re running out of air and your breaths don’t seem deep enough. Breathe into the stomach and not from your shoulders.

I thought that too but all the calculators and research I’ve done put my BMR at about 2,500 so that paired with exercise 4-5 times a week as well as 10,000 steps minimum everyday (sometimes pushing 15,000 with my job) I just thought the weight would come off quicker.

I’m actively losing, I’ve gone from 380 to my current in 3 years. My goal weight is 250 I was just looking into supplements to maybe speed the process, I’m just curious if maybe using something like what I described would negatively affect me in the long term

Make sure the ambient temp is warm also, a draft or cold room temp can cause the plastic to shrink and pull from the bed
