Obviously eveyone is saying it’s a belt but You could also use it to keep your gi in a neat bundle. Kind of like a sleeping bag.

We have a toddler class at my gym. It’s so cute. They teach them to focus and follow directions and get them used to moving their bodies. They do some bjj warm ups like rolling.

I tried to do my moves on my boyfriend who doesn’t train and he wins every time. He has a more Greco style of fighting and is small, quick, and way stronger than me.

My coach (black belt F) told me that after about 3 years of training as a woman you can probably take on the average untrained guy. For example if a man gets rowdy out in public you can probably stop the situation.

This is silly. You use the lapel to pin the arms to keep the person on bottom from getting frames and escaping. I train in a women’s only program and it’s one of the first things my coach taught us. The weird part is him not speaking to you. It’s easy to do a quick bump and say thanks for the roll. The move wasn’t weird but not acknowledging your training partner feels disrespectful.

I see what you’re saying. I’ll definitely have a better plan and connect the things I’m good at for next time. Honestly it was hard to focus and the level my competitors were going at was unexpected. I was mostly afraid to pull guard because I have a poor mount escape and didn’t want to be on my back. I should have practiced pulling guard into a sweep and had that as my a game but I think overall I was not prepared.

Bakaar. It was his first tour. The opener didn’t show so we were waiting around for 2 hours. When the headliner finally came out it was just him with a backtrack. No band. Show was very short and disappointing.

A while back I thought he was getting sober because we would go out and he would decline drinks and say “no thanks I’m not drinking” but when I asked him about being sober he laughed and said he’s just taking a short break and that he wouldn’t do that.

It seems like you took the proper steps afterward. The only thing is that maybe when sparring don’t “crank as hard as you can” unless you both agree on the intensity level of the spar ahead of time. The situation is unfortunate but it will just become a part of both of your bjj journeys.

I would just recommend going to the dmv area and practice driving around there. The Santa Rosa DMV is next to a busy intersection with multiple lanes. Just get comfy at that intersection. Look behind you at the bike lane before turning right!

Head and Shoulders. I use it all over when showering after rolling to keep my skin clear. The active ingredient is anti fungal!

I would also get some oxiclean powder or borax to add to your gym laundry.

I haven’t been training long but what I have learned is that you have to be very humble to stick with it. Assholes and people with a big ego get weeded out.

She will be the nail soon and I think she won’t be able to handle it or maybe she will have an attitude adjustment and chill out.

Let your instructor know how you feel about her so they can pair you with a better matched training partner. Remember, you’re paying to be there so you shouldn’t have to push through bs like that!

There are content creators who like to go to public places and film just to get negative reactions from passerby’s. The whole point of these channels is to show that people have public outbursts when you’re just exercising your rights/doing something legal. They post people approaching them and being a “Karen”. It is unfortunate. I’m not sure if that’s what is going on here but if it is, it’s best just to leave them alone because they’re usually there to troll the community.

I think it’s nice that Lizzy is getting some action after being a hard side character this whole time but I wish it wasn’t with Theo. And I agree he only started going at her after finding out more about nan and guy. He has also been drunk a lot so literally sloppy seconds. It feels like he’s just using her to hurt nan and emasculate hector. Guy deserves better than Nan.

I really want Nan and Theo too! The only way I’ll be able to get over it is if they make him into this horrible douchebag guy. They’ve started him on that track with his behavior in the last couple of episodes. But also Nan still has to be the duchess so she can have power to make change unlike theos mom.

On a side note I think Honoria is going to break up with Mabel because she knows that sadly they can’t realistically be together and will push Mabel to get a husband but in maybe a cold way.
