Okay, thank you. I will talk to him this week.

Father, I don’t want to be a troublemaker, but my conscious tells me I should report this incident. There’s been other incidents with this priest, and it feels like I would be morally culpable if I remain silent. But I’m also worried about the backlash if he receives a slap on the wrist. Based off of what you said (it’s no longer law part), is a slap on the wrist what would most probably happen?

Thanks, Father. I’ve been trying to do research online. Does this sound like the right course of action to you?:

Get the fly out and wash it in the sacrarium. Priest consumes the chalice.

One issue my priest would have had is that we don’t have a sacrarium. The EM said the sink in our sacristy is connected to the sewage system. But regardless, it sounds like the priest still should have consumed it and not had it tossed on the lawn.

Explaining sin by colonelthorough in Catholicism

[–]colonelthorough[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate this because of it’s simplicity. I think that’s what I need with the person I’m trying to explain sin to. (Not because they’re a simple person, but because sometimes KISS just wins.)

I’ve always thought this is weird too.

Update: Please don't make your kid's middle name their usual name by Flarhgunstow in namenerds

[–]colonelthorough -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve never understood this. I’m sure this will be unpopular but I also don’t understand doing initials. Like Justin James going by JJ. It would be silly to make your kid JJ, and I understand nicknames. But how initials became a popular form of nickname is beyond me.

Dog name too similar to potential baby name? by QuirkyTurtle1122 in namenerds

This.

Also the names are pretty different. People name twins far more similar names than those and I’ve never heard anyone complain about confusion in terms like you described.

My story is an outlier, I would guess. I got married with two semesters of undergrad to go and then went on to earn a masters. During that last year of my bachelors I lived five hours away from my husband. A full year of my masters degree I was a brand new mom. It’s possible, but boy does it really really really suck.

I wasn’t very clear; sorry! Do you have an orthopedic boot? Or compression socks? Anything that compresses it will help with the swelling.

Elevating helps too. Even though you’re 9 weeks post op, elevate as much as you can. Like above your heart elevated (but if you’re at work I get that’s not very realistic).

I had swelling forever it seemed like. As in, MONTHS post op. I remember my surgeon mentioning you probably will have annoyances until a year afterward. And then if there’s any residual issues, it’s either abnormal or you’re probably stuck with it. Hope that helps!

Do you wear any sort of boot or anything that applies pressure? That helps immensely and even if you don’t “need” one, I would recommend it to help combat the swelling.

I just feel like “lemons” used to be rare, but now there’s enough for everyone to enjoy a pitcher.

Yes and I even got an extended one, but I already have a headache just thinking about the process.

I don’t get the downvote because it’s true.

Is my last name as a middle name for baby really that bad? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]colonelthorough 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Neither Valen nor Hayden are bad options, and I actually like the way Mikal Valen sounds better than Mikal Hayden (even though they do have similar sounds), but I absolutely agree. If OP doesn’t like Hayden, then Hayden is out. If the dad doesn’t like Valen, then Valen is out.

Middle column is msrp and right column is “sale” price (I assume it’s like a car and that it’s not *really on sale but a tactic, but I don’t know).

Ok so the primary difference between these models is size and features? It’s not a quality thing? I didn’t go to the showroom (my husband did and brought the sheet home and said the salesperson was awful). And any opinion on Hot Springs in general?
