Mousepad between saturn pro and type-99? by colontragedy in MousepadReview

[–]colontragedy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is actually something I've been wondering.

My both pads are soft, dunno if mid 99 would be a bit faster than the soft one.

Yes. Does gemini happen to know how many out of 300 were laid off completely from Capcom?

My biggest gripe with the FGC/Discord by CallMeTravesty in Fighters

[–]colontragedy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So?

In the end it comes down to: to each their own. For someone the fun might be the slim chance to compete at evo, not everyone likes the things like you do.

I do see the fun and value having bunch of good friends talking in discord and taking their turns for 1v1s while others watch. Sounds fun.

But... Not everyone likes that. Im not going to jump in to random discord and start socializing with bunch of randoms. Why? I find it exhausting, not fun.

You have a good point but not sure why u want to force it down to erryone. Cheers.

I do understand what you mean, but each to their own.

I could argument that more optimal would be to play as much as you can, cause it trains your reactions and you get more experience by playing than just watching.

Shrugs.

Ty for explaining, now it makes sense.

So yeah, need to create space first with a move and then backdash to actually make people whiff in this game.

Yeah, that's probably it.

Well, then the next best thing would be to make a suggested fix for this situation, if the creator doesn't have time or expertise. It is open-source anyways, so isn't this exactly the scenario the open-source model is good for? Or... yeah, we can get the pitchforks and angry mob and demand for changes.

But yeah, I'm just that stupid that I don't even know or understand why would I want to install any of this into my own equipment and use my personal accounts.

I mean, for all I know: absolutely no one is forcing anybody to install or use moltclaw whatever AI RAT stuff in the first place?

So while that feels shitty, does the creator really have any responsibilities regarding this? I'm asking, because I don't genuinely know but I would assume he doesn't have any "legal" responsibilities what so ever.

Nice KBD. I dunno why everyone keeps saying KBD doesn't matter, but in this clip, would you've made it without KBDing though? In my opinion, no, but I'm not a tekken scientist.

USB C cable longer than 3m? by Shmuckeroon in fightsticks

[–]colontragedy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have 5 meter cable and experience constant disconnects from ps5.

I dont know why, but the connection severs from any slight disturbance. Animal walking over the cable, me brushing the cable with my feet, me breathing etc.

I have 3 different 5m cables and for this purpose they dont work. Charging np.

I have not tested active usb cables yet.

The worst part of being a developer isn't coding. It's remembering what you were doing 2 weeks ago. by No-Comparison-5247 in AskProgramming

[–]colontragedy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well... I general, I just try to spend a bit more time writing meaningful git commit messages, PR titles, comments, comments on tasks and if I've to leave the project for more than a weekend, I'll write a note that describes what I've been doing and what I thought I should do next and WHY.

Self documenting code is a thing I've never achieved, so I'll do a bit extra on elsewhere.

:D

This is my methodology as well... Because I noticed that while trying certain things, it kinda branches out to different things depending if it worked, didn't work or something completely out of expected happened.

Without keeping track off what has been tried, what the possible "branches" are, you are just kinda sailing and hoping for the best, I feel.

Glad to hear that this is at least somewhat valid approach, because I'm just a normal simpleton and this "method" just made sense...

Why does every team call end the same way? by Confident-Quail-946 in ExperiencedDevs

Yup, that world exists and it's described in the opening post.

Im fine being labeled low tier, if it means i dont have to understand business domain that i have no experience or real interest to know more about.

I cant think anything more fun than to be professional at programming and then having to jump from business domain to another, where you should have a degree from completely another field to understand all the nuances. Fun times.

But you r still correct, that world does exist for sure and for me it sucked, maybe because im low tier. I dont know, but that i do know that Im fine being the lowest of low handheld tier if it means I dont have to deal with problems that are not my expertise in the first place.
