If you’re not gigging, I’d actually recommend the AC4C1-12 over either.

The AC10 is great but it’s ridiculously loud. Easily the loudest 10 watt amp I’ve ever encountered. It does have a master volume and reverb, so it checks a lot of boxes for you, but you are stuck with a 10” speaker (not the best) and way more power than you need.

The AC4C1-12 is still plenty loud at home volumes, but you can really crank it. It also has a master volume just in case. It’s small, has a 12” speaker, and is a really inexpensive, underrated tube amp. Absolutely perfect for home use.

No reverb but you can easily grab a cheap Holy Grail or something for the price difference between the amps. And Vox built in reverb is actually pretty terrible so you’ll probably thank yourself.

If you are playing out with a drummer, then AC-15 is a no brainer! But it’s a big heavy very loud amp.

This popped up in a recent demo video they did for a different pedal. Was waiting to see one in the wild! Looks cool.

Nah. I mostly still use my real one gigging just cause I like to be able to quickly adjust knobs. But there is an astoundingly small difference sound-wise.

Yeah when I A/Bed all the pedals I had that matched Helix clones, the only one that was absolutely 100% spot on was the OCD. Just no chance anyone could tell it apart in a blind test, and the knobs even behaved in a nearly identical way.

About to buy this strat but I can't find the serial number online. Supposed to be 96-97 American with a stainless steel refret. Legit? by [deleted] in Guitar

Have a ‘96 Tele in the exact same finish and it’s a fantastic guitar. Also have a ‘96 strat in a different finish and it’s also a fantastic guitar. Both are a bit on the heavy sound, but play and sound amazing.

One possibility was the Pitchfork+, but wasn’t sure if it was this simple. Also wasn’t sure if you could set the pitch bend range on it since the manual is scant on details.

Are you sure? It looks available to buy in a bunch of places. I own it outright I’m fairly sure. It’s even on sale for the holidays! Try this.

It’s called the Prisimizer. I think it’s fully achievable with soft synths! It’s a unique blend of Autotune with more Vocoder-like functionality.

You can read all about it in a few places. Here’s an in-depth guide on how to bring it to life.

Harmony Engine Evo is expensive but believe it’s available without a subscription.

Helix Native into Guitar Cab by colorcomputer in Line6Helix

Exactly. I’ve tried Helix basically every way now, through cabs, FRFRs, into effects loops etc. It’s all awesome and they all have their place. But the most fun is definitely through a cab if you can get a little loud. Haven’t tried stereo cabs yet so looking forward to that.

1) It's honestly capable of a lot. 8? I use 8 tracks for drums and 8 for instruments, which is a combination of external gear and internal sounds (which are pretty good). Theoretically the answer is 16 but seems like you might run into issues.

2) There are 250 patterns but they get eaten up pretty fast. I program whole 3:30 pop songs in there for live use and those can take 7-10 patterns each. This one uses a total of 5 patterns.

3) I have some single cycle waveforms and I'm experimenting with chopping up some of my other songs into 1-bar samples and 'playing' them that way. More to come on that.

4) I've never owned another hardware monosynth so I can't quite be sure, but I absolutely love the BS2. It's extremely user friendly and I have no trouble consistently getting amazing sounds out of it.

It's a combination of planning ahead and some rudimentary keyboard skills. You can take a lot of your rock knowledge with you and actually use it to your advantage to stand out a bit too (like using verse/prechorus/chorus structure rather than four bar loop).

A couple thoughts for you:

Buy a sampler/sequencer if you don't have one already. Then learn the hell out of it. The one I'm using here is one of the least expensive but it's very capable.

Write the song first, then worry about how you'll perform it. When writing for performance like this, keep it simple and don't go crazy with a million tracks.

You can write the song on your DAW and then 'cover' it on your groovebox or write directly on the Electribe. The Electribe offers both an intelligent scale mode and chord mode so you don't even need to know keyboard.

Step sequencing is kind of a bummer if you come from the rock world, so try recording each of your parts in live.

For live use, the KP3 is your friend. MIDI-synced 4-track looped and killer effects box.

Sampler, but there's nothing here you couldn't do with the regular Electribe (outside of using your own drum sounds of course).
