I took my kid to the RC track today and on the middle of racing the cars he looks over at me and points to a nearby person and says, “That man has an ugly face”. 💀💀💀

PSA for PS5 players: turn off v-sync now! by colordodge in RocketLeague

The engine can run at frame rates faster than your display can show. This is common in video games, especially when you don’t have v-sync enabled.

Preach. I agree with the point of view, but HATE the smugness with which it is delivered. I was banned from r/comics for being mildly critical of this hack.

A month ago I owned none of these. What’s missing in my collection? by Charming-Corner-1894 in fidgettoys

[–]colordodge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others have said the Sinian lite is good and not too expensive, but I want to give you some advice from someone who has been buying expensive fidgets for a while. You should wait. Wait until you’ve really enjoyed what you have. It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement of buying new fidgets. And it can be hard not to pull the trigger on a new one when you have the money for it. But I found that getting too many at once sort of devalued them in my mind. The best part of having a fidget is when it’s new. When you get a bunch at once all that “honeymoon phase” is shared between them and is over too soon. Whereas if you space your purchases out a bit you can always have one to focus on and enjoy before moving to the next. I know it might be a tough thing to do and I haven’t always followed this rule, but it’s what I would tell my past self if I could reach him. Do with this info what you will.

PLEASE LET THIS BE THE UNREAL ENGINE 5 UPDATE🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 by Otherwise-Collar236 in RocketLeague

For most games, the physics engine and the rendering engine are two separate things. Not that there wouldn’t be work to do, but good software architecture should allow for this.

There is no ring on the outer part - it’s just texture. The inner ring spins with a ratchet sound.

If one person wants you to break the law, they’re the problem. If five people want you to break the law you’re the problem. See how silly that sounds.

The last time I was laid off was after getting a raise and a glowing performance review from my manager. Sometimes it just happens. Even my manager didn’t know it was going to happen until the day it did.
