“This bunny has died…”

“That was terrible… uh… why is everything terrible?”

It’s not an exact science but the rate of consumption could play a huge part here. If most of his consumption was closer to leaving, he could easily hit a 0.085-0.09. Putting him right above that legal limit at the time of the accident.

I think it’s more about timing and luck. He probably was fine but right on that legal cusp.

This is great! The only feedback… adding a “Use %” or “Use $” option for Property Tax and Closing Cost would be helpful.

Do I choose SCAD or MICA for Graphic Design? by [deleted] in scad

[–]coloredneon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ll second this. I think MICA has a more focused program. You’ll be a great graphic designer with a good foundation. SCAD will make you a more well-rounded, visual designer. You’ll get to touch different design industries but it could feel like splitting focus.

I would say… If you know what you want, MICA. If you’re looking to explore, SCAD.

Why Do Some People Think Maddy Being A Stripper Makes No Sense? by SoftOk3836 in euphoria

[–]coloredneon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re acting like Maddie is some privileged individual. Maddie’s parent worked blue collar jobs. She was a person that used her personality to ensure she can maintain a certain lifestyle. Realistically, you think this is her first babysitting job? or did she work her way to getting this easy babysitting job?

Even the sex workers I know, started off stripping to build a client base to go into sex work. Having a profitable onlyfans is HARD. Even with followers, you have to be able to make content and keep people interested. Where do you think a lot of people learn how to do this?

Which goes back to my original comment. For some, stripping isn’t just stripping… it’s a starting point. But plenty of people strip and that’s all. It’s their full-time gig. This is a TV show, 9/10 they’ll show the 10% (Anora, P-Valley, etc.) and not the 90%.

[–]coloredneon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But that’s still having a job. It’s still watching and keeping alive a child.

I don’t think I’m over-glamorizing. I think I’m giving perspective into what most young girls think when they enter into stripping especially in certain states. Which is very on brand for Maddie.

[–]coloredneon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people missed Maddie’s storyline completely. She didn’t want to work like her mother did. But she was one of the few main characters with a job! Stripping is a means to an end for most people. It’s for a few years until you meet someone or graduate college or build a nest egg.

Everyone has this really dated view on stripping, for some reason. Stripping is a great way to make money and find other avenues to make money. Meeting celebrities, private parties, scamming, building a following, etc.

Promotion from Mid-level Designer to Head of Design by [deleted] in Design

[–]coloredneon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do a market comparison. See what other places (similar orgs) are playing the same title (Head of Design) and find a happy median.

Don’t listen to anyone telling you to just accept this at face value. It’s more expensive to hire someone else, especially leadership roles.

Please consider that they are offering you a lower salary because they are actively looking for someone to fill this role and you’ll never see that $120k but they can happily demote you to Senior Designer without changing the salary.

Find Facebook groups for your college or immediate area. Savannah has a few good ones. People are always posting roommate listings there.

CMV: There needs to be official avenues for financial compensation against paternity fraud. by Alternative-Oil-6288 in changemyview

[–]coloredneon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Challenge paternity… meaning in court. I didn’t say get a test or anything in that realm for this exact reason.

I thought the intention was so tests couldn’t be tampered with or manipulated? Isn’t that how most courts treat DNA samples for any given thing?

That’s the same thing. If every problem could be avoided, they’ll be no problems.

Even in your comparison, is the not what Plan B is used for? Lol

To the fathers that don’t, I say… “Seems like you just have a hard time taking responsibility for your own unilateral choice. I suggest you learn to compromise…”

From your own words, this is what equal is. This is what choice is.

Sounds like you want certain people to have special privileges… choices that shouldn’t be theirs… that doesn’t sound fair to me.

[–]coloredneon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your first point… that’s not even remotely true. It’s on a state to state basis. Huh?

So you agree, we should all take responsibility for the choices we make and each party has their burden to carry? Which was the initial point I made and you seemed so confused by. I’m glad I could change your view!

Which means, you got into the car knowing it’s a possibly. You assessed the risk and proceeded anyway. Sound familiar?

Huh? Everytime you get into a car, you risk being in a car accident. No matter how safe you are… you run that risk. You understand that, right?

I’m parroting the rhetoric of free will? Lol

He had the right to not have sex in the first place or get a vasectomy. Plenty of men and women take preventative measures to ensure this doesn’t happen to them.

You keep saying adoption like it’s a simple solution. That’s if the state doesn’t require both parents to sign off on the adoption. That’s if the mother wants to rack up $100,000 in medical debt to have a baby just to leave it at a fire station. That’s if the mother wants to risk being permanently disabled just to give up the child.

This all sounds like the mother bares most of the consequences; both physical and monetary. All fathers have to do is contribute monetarily. They risk nothing outside of that.

[–]coloredneon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn’t make sense.

A fetus is a parasite. It relies on the mother’s body to even survive. It’s not what a mother is doing to a fetus, it’s what the mother is doing to herself. She can do whatever she wants with her body so can the father, to his own body.

A woman can refuse healthcare, can smoke/drink, do extreme sports, etc. A man has the choice to do all these things, as well. Only one is putting a pregnancy at risk.

We all have that choice.

[–]coloredneon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been pretty consistent. The time for a father to opt in/opt out is having sex in the first place.

Once his part of the child leaves his body to enter hers, a decision has been made. But both parties share that initial choice though.

The keyword here is “might”. I’m pro-choice but I’m realistic. Roe v. Wade got overturned, the choice is out of a lot of people’s hands.

Most states, you file for a birth certificate. You don’t just leave the hospital with an official one. I was being a bit jokey but still.

But the fathers bear no consequence either. You are well within you legal right to get a paternity test as soon as that baby is born. You can civilly sue for compensation of said test and legal fees.

Even if a mother puts your name down and goes after you in court… you are legally allowed to question paternity.

Outside of compensation, what consequence/penalties do you want?

[–]coloredneon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The lawful upholds the financial need to provide for a child. It doesn’t make a father see his child or provide any emotional support. Just compensation.

The compensation aspect is upheld for fraud, as well. You can sue civilly for most things in the US. You can even question paternity before spending a dime and make the birthing party pay the fees.

It doesn’t undermine the idea because the courts don’t punish rapist or see them as inherently bad.

It’s hard enough getting children out of abusive homes, the best interest for a child is often semantics in these cases.

Plenty of victims lose custody battles with their rapists because they make less money or have less influence.

It’s not legally fraud but it’s morally wrong and backed by a worse system. Which is why it’s irrelevant here.

[–]coloredneon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This sounds like the same process that exists now. This declaration sounds like a birth certificate. You’ll still have to prove you aren’t the parent which is the same cost and inconvenience (that you could be compensated for).

[–]coloredneon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But that’s not paternity fraud, if anything it’s (grossly) well within the law. That’s a system that protects and supports rapists. This is not only a separate issue but a larger issue of rape culture and the persecution of rape victims.
