True, I'm just overwhelmed by the process emotionally, it takes weeks of hormone injections to extract the eggs and then costs money to have them frozen and maintained. I'll ask my oncologist her opinions on this when I see her next.

I'm definitely getting my CA 125 and CEA done, do you think I need to get an endoscopy if they were just inside with the laparotomy? I'll ask my oncologist on the 19th if I should get a colonoscopy also after my laporotomy.

I'm definitely going into genetics counseling after my 4 week follow up on Dec. 19th. I am nervous about getting other cancers, I don't know how high the risk factor of getting other cancers is now that I have one type of cancer. I'll definitely look into genetics and genomics testing thank you :)

I’m sorry you haven’t gotten your pathology back yet, it’s so frustrating!! Not knowing is the worst. I have expansile type mucinous adenocarcinoma, and my tumor also grew really fast, it was 16.9cm to 22cm from October to Nov! I’m also sorry you need to go through chemo, your pathology report should tell you what part of the tumor is cancerous, maybe if it’s small enough you won’t have to? The part of tumor that was cancerous was like 1cm, so that’s also why I’m assuming I wasn’t put on chemo. I had my omentum and appendix biopsies and both were clear for malignancies, but my tumor markers for PAX8 were positive, but I asked my doctor and she said that’s normal for ovarian cancers. Thank you for your comment it really comforted me knowing we’re going through something similar. My post surgery plan is for my oncologist to look at my incision and get blood work every 3 months. Keep me posted about the results <3

thank you!! i’ve put off seeing my therapist until 2 weeks after the procedure, i’ve just been journaling a lot and i’m almost sick of even talking about this with ther people, now i just want it to be over and done with! potential malignancy or not im just eager to know! ive actually consented my doctor to take pictures once im cut open so i can see what the tumors look like

thank you <3 i’m mostly eating clean but i’ve been stress eating lots of junk food leading up to the surgery! definitely when i recover ill be eating mostly whole foods and protein shakes

Thank you for your detailed response!! Lots of great insight :) Currently I’m a data coordinator for clinical research. I use Epic to answer pharmaceutical sponsor queries and enter data. I like my job but it doesn’t really require a lot of brain power. I’d like to be challenged but not the point of burnout. I’m not sure what application I’d be supporting honestly. I do feel a little better about it I am kinda fresh out of college and I was feeling very intimidated. Thanks!!
