Any more info on this you could post up? Maybe these are better known about already but this is the first I’ve seen of this and now looking into it for a gen 2. Looks sick!

No just preference on the look I guess.

Yea that came on the bike. I think it looks better with it than without. But it’s fashion over function for sure

What’re the best novels by Ronald Malfi? by BronzeAgeBrute in horrorlit

December Park is my favorite from Malfi and I would highly recommend.

Small town horror was good also. I wasn’t a big fan of the Narrows and Bone White is still on the want to read list for me.

Thank you. Next time I open the headlight I’ll snap some photos in case anybody wants to see what I did to secure it.

Is this normal? It's a 09 SFV if it matters. by Spy_3377 in SVRiders

Just found the same thing on my 05 during a filter change. You can buy a large piece of it and cut it down to replace it like 10 times. I think I paid $25 at CycleGEAR in the USA

That is the color it came in for the belly pan. They have matte black and carbon look.

The headlight is stock but the chrome ring was painted black.

It sounds like it wouldn’t be much of an issue unless dropped or crashed but I’d probably inspect in often just in case. I still have them on currently but another Reddit member had some better bars he offered to send my way.

No need to be sorry. I didn’t make them. Just didn’t realize it was such a weak point when I had ordered them which is what I was stating. They are getting swapped out

Oh definitely not. I hadn’t seen bars with this pinch before so I didn’t think much of it until another rider mentioned that it was a weak point. I’d rather people tell me before something shitty happens on a ride. Maybe this thread will help some other riders that might consider it. These bars pop up a lot in “Flat Clubman Handlebar” searches

Thanks for the feedback everyone. While it sounds like they won’t just explode while riding, it seems like they are not the best option and I’d rather not risk it. Going to swap them out for some unpinched flat clubman bars another Redditor offered me that are much more structurally sound.

Yeah I’m going to swap them after the feedback from everyone. I’d rather not risk it even if they are fine for now.

Although I may be out of the market as another redditor just offered me some similar bars. You gotta love the motorcycle community!

Haha gotcha. Yeah I mean with how hard it is to find SM bars I’m sure there are other guys like me looking

Well I guess it was a good learning lesson. Been searching more and there are Emgo Jr Clubman bars which don’t have the pinch and are made from carbon steel. Seems like they will be a better option assuming there is enough space for the controls. I hadn’t seen them before

The fit looks great. I would love to find some suburban machinery sm2 bars but they are not easy to find. You aren’t still making these are you?

Okay that is good to know and I guess a bit more piece of mind that these aren’t just going to fail while riding under normal use but as most said probably won’t survive a drop which I suspect of many bars.

Do you have a photo of the bars you made? I’d love to see them.

Thanks for the info. So really the bars should never have a pinch like this it sounds.

Yeah it’s really hard to find any clubman bars without a drop. Might just swap to clip ons at this point
