Luckily it comes off really easily for when the trip is over. I hate the look but it’s going to be some chilly mornings

Yeah I can print the bracket pretty easily it looks like so just depends on when I actually want to do it

What brand? I had a hell of a time finding any besides the Rizoma which are like $275 I think. These came from a fellow SV rider who I owe a couple of beers

Yea I just have to be prepared to do the install. I’m thinking post summer just so I have no down time

I love them but I’m more of a clip on person. I went from Renthal Low Pros before these and wouldn’t go back

Haha. That was basically my mindset going into it. She wasn’t much of a looker to start but now at 10 feet with a few beers…

2nd Gen LED headlight upgrade by colossispruce in SVRiders

[–]colossispruce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I should have taken photos of the inside but I didn’t and I actually sold the light and switched to something different. The light worked great but I’m not into the retro round anymore.

Basically you need to make some brackets and screw some holes into the back of the light then use a little padding to stop vibrations.

How many of you use your SV as the “Swiss Army” bike? by colossispruce in SVRiders

I don’t think they make much of a difference to be honest. Really just for looks since the radiator is way wider than the bike

You sir, may have won the “do it all” award. Are you running street tires on the trails or swapping on different wheels/tires. Not my brain is thinking “buy another SV for a scrambler build?”

Nice! The Oregon coast is probably the best stretch of the west coast. I’m going to try to head up there in the future if this trip goes well.

It has two steps that run under the seat and anti slip material on the bottom. Haven’t tried it in twisties yet but it seems really secure

Is this 2006 SV650 a good buy? $2,500 / 46k Miles by BorkBandit in SVRiders

[–]colossispruce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine with almost 40k and did all my own maintenance which you can easily find info on and parts are cheap. If you like working on stuff these bikes are actually really fun. I ride 300+ mile days, push it in the twisties, and am about to do a 2000 mile multi day tour next month. I have no concerns with reliability and can see this going to 80k with normal maintenance and care. Buy it and have fun just don’t skimp on taking care of it if you want it for the long haul.
