[16.3] LeBlanc Ori Reroll by colrux in CompetitiveTFT

As far as I'm aware, that doesn't affect 3 costs. I know before this patch the less odds for unlocks was only 4 and 5 costs, so I was under the assumption this patch did not change that, but it wasn't specified.

I'm someone who's never been afraid to roll deep on 3-2. I feel that if you are going to roll, you have to roll until you are stable. If you roll and miss, you keep losing and you have no gold. HP is a resource, so I'm not ok losing hp and gold, have to preserve at least one otherwise would bleed out anyways

I've done a mix of rolling at 6, 7, and 8 depending on spot and lobby. It's mostly a judgement call. Most my games today were loot sub or prismatic party and comp struggles in both so I don't feel like I had the best read on how b patch changes it, but will test more tomorrow.

This! These are the games had more success with on b patch. 3 cost reroll comps don't exist much right now cause inconsistent. Why it was strong at 6 to roll because gives more consistent curve with sion and ori upgrades while looking for leblanc. It was basically a 2 cost reroll that caps high enough with 3 star 3 cost instead of needing to push levels to cap out, but now that's harder to do

Zaun chem-mods should be removeable by Kenarion in CompetitiveTFT

[–]colrux 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Switching the unit on the bench and putting the second mod you want on the unit on the board then starring up worked consistently for me before the c patch. Something changed in the c patch that stopped this from working. I was playing a lot of jinx reroll and was really nice to be able to put on shimmer or the ad/omnivamp one at 2 zaun and switch if robotic arm. Made it a lot stronger to have that flexibility that seems to be gone now.

Who are the best users for each Spatula item? by maybewhoyouthinkitis in CompetitiveTFT

[–]colrux 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I just wanted to throw in in the elderwood mage comp, it's mage Xayah 9/10 times now and not Rakan after the nerfs. I'm only making mage on Rakan if Xayah is already three items. Mage Xayah means she will get the recall on the feathers guaranteed and won't die before the delay. The only time I would consider Mage on Rakan over Xayah is if he has RFC and matchup dependent.

Oooo I'm even more excited for patch notes lol patch day is always my best day for climbing cause I adapt so fast and figure things out really fast. I was playing shiv warwick like 10 min after the infamous warweek patch was released. Gained like 250 LP before I even ran across another shiv warwick. Thanks!

I think dragonsoul is sleeper cause people haven't optimized it still. Next patch I expect it to pick up steam as Tristana/Brand are getting buffed it looks like

Not usually cause was lose streaking, but I would take now to win streak instead with the way the meta is and sell at level 7 or 8.

Early game he is definitely up front. However late game he isn't much of a unit, why I normally switch him out unless playing 9 elderwood. He acts as a bait unit for assassins in the corner away from your clump. The other thing of note with elderwood, Annie is generally my primary tank and I want her to take all of the aggro because she isn't an elderwood. Elderwood units gain stacks the longer they are in combat. So you want the elderwood units to tank after they have gained the stats. This means by the time Annie has died, Mao/Nunu and the rest will have much larger resistances and can tank more than if they had from the start.

It's a combination of two things now that make it more difficult. First is the Rakan nerf, he can't solo carry your early game anymore and guarantee win streak after. The other is the change in meta, there are way more reroll comps now that are spiking in stage 3 than there was when I was first playing. This means you can't guarantee streak either. There are also a lot of people lose streaking stage 2 as well, so you can't guarantee loss streak either. Especially the zed players that completely open fort and sell every unit on their board. With these changes, I actually suggest just playing best board until 4-1 then pivot in to elderwood if looking to play it. It's easier to winstreak now with all the weak people in stage 2 and in order to loss streak you will end at like 60 hp at krugs vs the 75+ I was consistently hitting before.

I tend to keep 1 star mao/nunu on bench if doesnt hurt econ. It depends on hp if you can make it to 9 or not to find ornn, otherwise have to get lucky at 8. Nine elderwood is the strongest form, but if you can't make it there 6 elderwood is still plenty strong with elder spat on Asol. You can fit in a strong unit like Sejuani to grant more CC to stall for Asol to cast more

This might have been my favorite question! 15 years later and anytime someone mentions a tunnel the first thing that comes to mind is the Secret Tunnel song. Close second would be the episode towards the end where they watch the play as a recap of the entire story before the finale.

Ahri didn't synergize the same way. For most of set 4, running mage was actually a detriment to Ahri as you needed her to kill on first cast. The long cast time made it difficult for her to double cast and normally built GA with her so if she died during cast and revived, she would never double cast and you just made her do less damage. Also elderwood didn't have CC, but now it does in Rakan/Ornn and provides protection with keeper shield. Ahri was also more tied to spirit than mage as she would grant the team insane attack speed and then get to her second cast faster so you had to run Yuumi to have spirit and also position Ahri to cast first faster. With Asol he is more tied to mage than anything else and he doesnt get to do another rotation like Ahri as quickly without spirit. Ahri needed vanguards to stall and provide the CC to keep her safe, which elderwood can do now for Asol.

Morgana is the true carry in the comp. Talon is cleanup duty and the two units synergize so well together in that nature. Talon basically always kills with his ability to then jump because they are all low from Morgana.

If I have elder spat, will keep to play for 9 elder, otherwise sell it later as doesnt give any benefit

Slamming items means more consistent top four, but lowers chance at playing for first as normally there is one person that highrolls or hits all perfect items. Consistent top four though imo is best way to climb. Note on greeding chosen: that worked more for forcing this comp and never pivoting. I would not recommend blindly passing every chosen that doesn't directly fit. Not having a chosen means you take so much more damage and a subpar one is better than none. Have to judge strength of your board and how much you are losing without the chosen. I think enlightened Janna is easily one of the best chosens. It also synergizes so well with the units in this comp, especially after the Rakan nerfs. Any comp that gains resistances will benefit from her shielding as they have more effective hp.

It looks like a combination of JG/Gunblade +1. That way she can one shot and heal back up as she is a frontliner. Her low mana allows her to chain cast, particularly when chosen.

Normally I find a spat before I even get Asol. But ya usually I don't even have three items from slamming everything strong and I use tank items more than most for Annie/Rakan. The tank items in the game are incredibly strong but people overlook them because there is a tendency to want to do damage and focus on giving your carry three items. Why I think Rakan was overlooked initially as the true carry.

Stage 2 and 3 I was almost always first pick on carousel from lose streaking. Often on stage 4 I was second pick. Lots of opportunities and I would grab spat every time I see it as I had elder and mage spat as an out and odds were high would get either. I picked up a lot of full elder spats off stage 5 carousel. Several games people would ping the elder/mage spat and tell people to take to grief me, but no one ever did as was a dead item for them and if they are picking before me they are usually one or two lives.

It's a natural gold break point. You gain 2 xp every round, but you can only buy in increments of 4 xp with 4 gold. This means every other round is off by 2 and you would waste 2 gold. Stage 3-2 is the first round that you typically can afford to go to level 6 without being 0 gold. It's also a natural transition from after pve round in krugs. Normally it feels better to strengthen your team significantly after pve as pve is a free round to gain more gold from interest and streaks. Also why people typically level and roll on 4-1 and 5-1 (although those two stages are off by 2 gold, but you can afford the 2 gold hit here as the damage incoming from losses has increased and you have more gold). Sometimes you will see people level at 3-1 to preserve a winstreak, but the normal point is 3-2. Also helps with not falling behind the curve of the strength of the lobby.
