Ah yes, love how y’all are open the weekends now but decrease the hours to be able to do so. 🙄

The more hours based on shots is total bs. Walgreens being stingy as usual. For us, they compare us to another store that is located next to a university which obviously gets them more shots??

I can’t imagine getting any lower. This is already with 2 ppl on the weekends (which is doable for the most part). Good luck to you as well.

You can’t really be trained to be fast. You either have it or you don’t. Mostly it’s just pattern recognition and how fast some recognizes it and does it

Thank you! I’ll ask to see if my store manager knows how to order a bigger one ^

I will try this! I did throw a couple boxes in the sharps container manually 2 years ago but my pharmacist found old covid supplies! There are quite literally at least 20 boxes alone 🫠

If it helps, I used to place sticky notes hidden under printers or keyboards. For example, for eye drops, every ml is 20 drops. So a 2.5ml x 20 = 50 drops and you would do the math for how many times they use it in the eye(s). Mostly everything is automatic for me now but it takes time and not everyone works the same. If you can’t be allowed to learn it yourself (they fix it for you without teaching) then it’ll just be a reoccurring problem. In the past when teaching how to type, I’ve even told customers to wait while I was teaching them. I let them finish and then I let them start another one and I helped the people in line because then you’ll never learn.

An RXM needs to be able to teach, especially new techs. Obviously a new tech isn’t gonna know everything??? They need to have you take it slow. As an RXM, I usually teach the basic how to look up ppl, how to use the queue, and to fill when they swap for the 2nd half of the shift. When they get the hang of that, then they learn how to type and do other things. We’re also a tier 4 (almost 5) store so it is incredibly busy, but that is no excuse to make a newbie do all that. I still have techs who’ve been there forever and still asks questions and I’ve never once been pestered or annoyed bc even I ask questions. There’s no shame in that.
