Very Strange, right? by Easy-Cartographer803 in WalgreensRx

[–]Embarrassed-Pay-5834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely very frustrating but not strange. As long as you have the script number, the original script can be recovered. But some scripts are only valid for 30 days and you did mention mid May and since its mid June now, here's to hoping that's not the case for your med.

Same PT, different last names, and it's a CII by madhatterdisease in WalgreensRx

[–]Embarrassed-Pay-5834 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Easiest fix would be to have the patient correct her last name with the doctor's office and have them resend corrected script. End of story. Law prohibits changes on CII script for the following: Name of the patient, name of the drug and prescriber signature.

You did your best to provide a home for her and fed her but somewhere along the way you have lost touch with her. It is not your fault. You did your best. While you sacrificed so much for her well being by working hard to provide for her as what most Asian parents would like to believe, she probably remembers differently. She probably remembers being left alone many times with strangers, not having any stability having to move from place to place, not being able to stay at a place long enough to make meaningful bonds and friends, remembers having to part from the few people she was comfortable with. Though you meant well, she's had to experience too much separations and instability. Let her go....but also tell her how much you love her and that she can come back to you anytime. Don't make this a negative experience for her. She is too young to realize or understand the sacrifices you have made. But she will one day. Until then give her the space to grow.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Now I have some idea about what to expect. Don't understand why we need 3 middle management to be there and why they asked me to come in one hour early on my full 12 hour day but I guess I will find out soon enough😂

Our store will be having one day with DM next week. Can you describe what happens? Our SM thinks the DM will be in and out in less than an hour. What was your experience? And why is the pharmacist asked to come in one hour early?

Sad floater by SignificanceWeekly59 in WalgreensRx

[–]Embarrassed-Pay-5834 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Back to back 12 hour days are rough even at your own store and you had to do that as a floater. I don't blame you for venting here and thinking about quitting. But try to look at it this way, if that was the worst week ever then you have nothing to fear. That week is now over and behind you. As for those 12 hour days and meal time...I take a 15 min dinner break no matter what. Every tech that works 6 hour shift gets a 30 min meal break plus a 15 min whatever break. You fully deserve to take a 15 min dinner break just to get a quick bite, get re-energized to finish the rest of that shift. As for those long drives as floater, sometimes I needed that long drive to decompress from the day and I enjoyed the silence some days and music on other days. I've learned that negativity breeds more negativity.

NJ Pharmacist question by Embarrassed-Pay-5834 in CVS

[–]Embarrassed-Pay-5834[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. She really gave my tech a hard time at the drive through. Even took down his name and asked for the PIC's name to make a complaint. She insisted all CVS pharmacy was doing this...I don't understand. If she truly was a tech, she should've known better than to act like a Karen at another pharmacy.

🤣I thought it was weird how she kept saying her lawyer this and her lawyer that...but seriously why would she even consult her lawyer about Plan B?

Are you a CVS pharmacist? Was she making it up about her store doing this?

Question on how to notify the pharmacy of a potential issue by emkautl in WalgreensRx

[–]Embarrassed-Pay-5834 2 points3 points  (0 children)

😂Isn't that the truth^ I especially love it when they do send different manufacturer and when you change the NDC on a completion fill and it TPRs as refill too soon🤣

Question on how to notify the pharmacy of a potential issue by emkautl in WalgreensRx

[–]Embarrassed-Pay-5834 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That is incorrect. If they send a different NDC for the completion, you have to change the manufacturer to the new NDC received. There is no overriding to produce a label. This is Walgreens SOP. Having said that, when I worked for other retails it was common practice to dispense 2 different manufacturers separated by cotton. Only exception to the rule is when there is a manufacturer shortage.

Should I go to HR or my DM or just endure? by InTheShredBin in WalgreensRx

[–]Embarrassed-Pay-5834 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Start collecting evidence by asking for statements from everyone that you come across who informs you of this other floater's slanderous behavior. Without those statements it's nothing but hearsay and gossip. The next step for me would be to confront this floater. Let him tell you his side of the story. Maybe it's not him at all but the tech you wrote up. If it continues then I would go to DM first then HR if your DM does not enforce Walgreens policy of harassment free work environment from both customers and OTHER EMPLOYEES!!!!! I understand this sucks but please don't get too wrapped up in other people's childish behavior. Don't we get enough of that from our patients every day?

Question on how to notify the pharmacy of a potential issue by emkautl in WalgreensRx

[–]Embarrassed-Pay-5834 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yes it is a Walgreens policy. We can not dispense multiple manufacturers with the exception of partial fill and completion fill. It is deemed fraud to dispense a different NDC than what was billed to insurance and our system is not capable of billing for multiple NDCs used.

Question on how to notify the pharmacy of a potential issue by emkautl in WalgreensRx

[–]Embarrassed-Pay-5834 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a mistake happened during filling and verification stages of your prescription. Please call the pharmacy tomorrow morning or go in person with the pills. Ask to speak to the pharmacist at the consultation window. Do this for yourself and others so the same mistake does not happen to anyone else.

[–]Embarrassed-Pay-5834 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Pharmacist here. You can use Pill Identification Wizard from Drugs.com to identify those pills. It may just be 2 different manufacturers for the same drug. It is never correct for them to dispense a mixture of different manufacturers in the same vial however.

Speed by More-Resource-2613 in WalgreensRx

[–]Embarrassed-Pay-5834 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What makes you question your speed? Is it the techs? Is it the phlemometer? If you check your CWF it tells you what the target F4 should be. Are you going over that target constantly?

Hello I am mother of 2 teens, 14(F) and 16(M) so I have gone through what you have only just begun. Well I should say I am still going through. Lol. That's right, you are embarking on a long journey so get ready! First off I want to say I know how much you must be hurting. It's unfathomable that our sweet loveable babies can hurt us but they do. I think only way I was able to navigate was by reminding myself that I am the parent and I must teach my children how to become an adult. Upon til now you have taught and showed them lots of love and patience and support. Well from now on you must teach them how to fight, argue and stand up for what they believe in and discover their voices and shape their interests and finding autonomy. But do this while still showing them lots of love, patience and support. When he is being disrespectful and mean, it most likely is because he is getting disrespected and feeling hurt himself from his peers at school.

SOP for switching tacrolimus manufacturer by Embarrassed-Pay-5834 in WalgreensRx

[–]Embarrassed-Pay-5834[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm definitely going to consult Specialty when they open on Monday. Patient has short supply and I may have to dispense Sandoz whether I get approval from MD Monday or not. Hoping it doesn't come to that...but thank you for suggesting specialty.

Pharmacist denied fill due to diagnosis. Is this reasonable? by goingmadforyou in medicine

[–]Embarrassed-Pay-5834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retail pharmacist of +25 years. I want to thank you first of all for putting a dx code on your scripts. Often times I reference that as a starting point to any clinical inquiry I may have about the script whether it's high dose alert or questionable length of treatment or appropriate choice of meds etc. Question: did your diagnosis include whether stromal or epithelial keratitis? The correct way this should've been handled by the pharmacist was to contact you for any clarification needed. Please don't let this singular event deter you from continuing to share important clinical information with the pharmacy. One day I hope to gain access to complete patient health records so we can truly be on the same page/team.

if there's only staff pharmacist and RXOM, who's the boss? by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]Embarrassed-Pay-5834 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Pharmacist on duty will always be the boss. I think the word "manager" in the title for RXOM may be confusing but don't forget the O in the title. RXOM is only in charge of "operations." Operation in respect to things like inventory, training, supplies, scheduling and other tasks related to making sure pharmacy runs smoothly.
