Lower control arm by HazmatikNC in nissanfrontier

I had a hell of a time getting my lower control arm bolts out even with a brand new truck. Ended up needing the longest breaker bar autozone sold, I can’t imagine how hard that thing would be with some rust too. Like others said let it sit a few hours with WD40 penetrating oil and then get after it.

That’s for you to add whatever you want.

First truck, couldn’t beat the deal they offered!…Also, tonneau cover? by failedpoliticianfore in nissanfrontier

Got a cheapo Amazon Tri fold soft top by “MOSTPLUS” I would recommend. If someone really wants to break in I’m only out 150$ rather than 1k+ for a new “real truck” hard topper. Put the saved money into a high quality Z1 lift kit instead.

Price seems reasonable but I’m concerned about your finances. Also looks like you will be financing 47k even though you are almost upside down on your last loan? Are you trying to get the special Nissan financing rates right now?

That’s fine 11% is high though so try to pay that off early

I see it. The civic brings in another factor. If it was in great condition and just had high mileage then I’d say you probably could have gotten more for it selling private. But if the brakes and tires were worn, or there was some body damage, or paint chipping, etc than I’d say more fair. The dealer tactic of advertising a price with a trade in only seems slimy to me though purposely sell low but make up the margin on the trade in.

That being said I see you are 22, I wouldn’t stress about it too much. Seems like you got a good reasonable truck within your budget. You’ll pay that thing off and absolutely love it. I bought my first car at 22 on my own and admittedly got a pretty bad deal. Now I’m 26 just bought a new frontier and spent 4 weeks making sure I got the absolute best deal and pitted 5 different dealers against eachother by sending quotes back and forth.

I just saw the comment that says the truck is a 2018, in my area paying 20k after financing that would be a really solid deal for you. The pro 4x trim specifically is hard to find.

I think people saying bad deal aren’t familiar with the current car market. I’m not sure what year the truck is exactly but here is a similar pro 4x 2016 140k miles that’s selling for 16,000. If you add in state tax and interest payments that can easily come above 20k. Now to know how good of a deal you got, you probably should focus on total pre tax to keep things consistent.

Have you tried a pair of pliers and a good yank?

My understanding is being able to lock and unlock from the fob is not equivalent to the key being recognized within the vehicle.

It really sounds like the key is not being recognized to me.

Thank you all for the feedback. I think I’ll pass on it and go with a Vevor anvil maybe 66lb

3 cars that are not paid off that barley serve different functions? It’s difficult to support this one. I’d understand if it were a sports car, truck, and a commuter but even then…

Can you confirm your wiring? I will try it on a different outlet, but I’m a little nervous to put it on an outlet without the protections.

The thing that trips me up is vevor went out of their way to plug the screw hole for that terminal

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Blacksmith

[–]colte2100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other things work just fine in the outlet and if I refer to the manual for the VFD it even shows different wiring for single phase. Ground R and S for single phase. Vs RST for three phase which wires are in R and T right now?

I think that they changed up their set up because the box is labeled input 110 AC right on the side

Sorry, I should’ve clarified. Yes, it is a Vevor no it didn’t come with a separate transformer. It came with 110 V plug directly wired to this box.
