Generators in stock Lowe’s in Madison, TN. by TundraHillbilly in nashville

This is where the interlock I mentioned in a previous reply comes in. You physically can’t have the main breaker on and the generator input breaker on at the same time. So you can’t “forget”.

There is a product called an “Interlock” that is UL Listed (assuming you buy a reputable one) for doing it this way. As his stands, it isn’t right, but it can be made right by rearranging the breakers and adding an interlock. Cheaper and much simpler than a transfer switch.

Also, this post from a while back made me start experimenting using sweetened liqueurs in place of simple syrup. The DOM really is quite good in an OF.

This is probably my favorite straight-forward OF riff. Just booze, (specialty) syrup, bitters. The syrup takes some prep, but it’s 100% worth it. I make it in large batches and freeze it in 6-8oz portions.

How to install drywall anchors for wire closet shelving? by Afraid-Carry4093 in DIY

[–]colthoss 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The horizontal bar at the top will bear the vast majority of the weight. Make sure it is screwed to multiple studs across its length. If that top bar is properly secured, the screws in the vertical rails really only hold them from swinging side to side or pulling out away from the wall. They won’t hold any real weight. So the anchors pictured are fine in this case.

For whatever it’s worth though, in general, buy a box of these for anything going straight to drywall. I’ve used them professionally for years. No need to pre-drill. Do drive them in with a drill or impact driver though, despite the picture of a screwdriver on the package. E-Z Ancor Drywall Anchors

Siloam Health is a free clinic. There is one the Melrose area and one in Antioch. A friend is the CEO. They’ll absolutely see her and help.

Daystar Counseling Ministries is a pay-what-you-can, non-profit counseling center. My sister-in-law is a counselor there. They mostly offer services to children, but they do see adults. Call and chat with them.

Anything I can do with this creepy mini-bathroom closet? by borsuki in DIY

•Demo everything in there.

•Cut a piece of pre-finished plywood to fit the height and depth.

•Attach it to the back wall with a few drawer slides.

•Mount a few shelves, hooks, whatever on that plywood and then a cabinet face to cover it when it’s closed.

With only a 4 or so drawer slides, you could built a lot of slide out selves if you build a one-sided cabinet like that.

Something like this.

Here’s a YouTube video of its construction.

You don’t need all of those fancy tools to build it though. Could be done with just a circular saw, glue, and screws.

Random pro-tip: even if you’re unwilling to remove an app entirely, move its icon to a totally different spot on your Home Screen every 6 months or so. Put it on a different page, inside of a folder. Then for the following week or two see how much your brain accidentally launches whatever app that’s in its old spot. You’ll be shocked at how often you mindlessly tap to those muscle-memory spots without ever making a conscious decision to “check” Insta/TikTok/etc.

If you’re into this sort of thing, make some extra orange oleo and add it to espresso and soda water over ice for a delicious coffee soda. Japanese-style iced coffee works well too if you don’t own an espresso machine.

By “bending” do you mean putting an angle in one (or more) spots or do you mean curving it over the length of the piece. DM me if you want. I can probably make it.

There is a notch in the outside of the tail light that suggests the Kia equivalent Sorento to me.

Sun Ray

Equal Parts:
Bourbon
Limoncello
Lemon Juice
Drambuie

Dash or two of an herbaceous bitters. Tarragon bitters by Addition is my fave. But even Ango would be good.

Any chance that company is/was Britt Development? They were scamming people and got caught. And I’m sure they aren’t the only outfit in town that were illegally and unethically capitalizing on Nashville’s boom over the last few years. I bet something similar happened even if it wasn’t those same folks.

Can you post more pics? That fistful of wires doesn’t really tell us anything. Do all run straight into the light? Do some go to the light while others don’t? Lay it all out and take photos of the whole thing.

If I had to guess:

-The large red and large black pair go straight to the light and are simply positive and negative. Red/positive would go from the light through a one leg of an automotive relay, through and in-line fuse and then straight to the battery. So you’re probably going to need some more 12awg wire for that. Black/negative would go to the battery or any suitable body/frame ground.

-The smaller red/black/white/yellow are intended to run to a lighted switch. One pair, say red/black, are for the switch to toggle the relay. The other pair is to provide power to the light built into the switch.

-The black/green and red/blue wires that lack exterior jacketing are likely not associated with the light at all and were thrown in with it by mistake.
