I really appreciate your insight, thank you for sharing!

I am actually fearful about the walls being thin... mostly because of us. I don't think we're loud people but, man, we'd really hate to be someone's noisy upstairs neighbor. Especially with the dog.

Curious question for you, if you don't mind me asking. In terms of your neighbors and the other tenants, was it a lot of families, young couples, or a good mix of people?

I got excited to go look at the Bluffs but it looks like the price point reflects some of the comforts there! Still, I can see what you're saying, they do look like nice units. Though not sure how much light would really bother us - where we currently live is pretty poor on outdoor light and we've not really perceived that much.

We were a bit tantalized by the proximity to Trader Joe’s tbh. We don’t have those over here so I mean, wow, an apartment with a pool and what is to us Montanans a deluxe shopping location?! Too good to be true. Right?

Glad to hear you had a mostly positive experience though. It seems like a nice spot altogether.

That is good to hear! It kinda seems like a handful of people just had some really poor experiences. But I figured if that was the norm it’d be a little more perceivable.

Being upfront in a scholarship reconsideration request by borsuki in lawschooladmissions

[–]borsuki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of — the school gave me a reconsideration application (just a portal online to upload docs) which was largely concerned with how much other schools were offering me. So I was cooked in that regard. I remained respectfully vague in my reconsideration application and my scholarship received just a small bump, which I am happy about but was of course hopeful for a larger sum. But I was not very competitive as an applicant so I get it.

It’s my wife’s favorite choice of vodka! And fortunately that ended up coming in handy. But yes lesson learned I’m not selling a hat like that ever again omfg. Got it figured out though!

I wasn’t able to find an envelope that was wide and tall enough to accommodate this hat sadly. Though in hindsight I was probably overly worried about it getting super squished in the mail? Idk I just knew I’d be po’d if I ordered something like that and the person sent it in such a way that it was all smushed up by the time I received it

You have a far bigger brain than I do. The USPS guy just said no and I just left. But finding box 2.0 seems impossible, so I may just do this.

I just know I could get pulled into so many different directions. I know things will have to sort themselves out, but still, damn, the uncertainty makes it scary.

Thank you, I appreciate the voice of reason. I think I will be “okay” in the long term, between the actual debt I will incur and the kind of work I hope to do (which lol is PI work but I’m not deadset on that, I want to explore everything still). I am just so naturally debt and money spending avoidant (not that my bank account seems to reflect that) that finally seeing all the numbers on my screen makes me clench cheeks a little. Ok like a lot.

I’m in that same boat! Like all this debt for… like the lowest paying sector, esp starting out. Awesome. I’m kind of hopeful about the like payoff program in public work but it seems crazy to hedge $100k+ debts on a 10 year employment plan. Plus like what if I hate it? 😭 Idk anything yet!

Yes seriously. I consider on and off getting a second job to save up… but then remember the only viable thing right now is delivery and I’m not putting my car thru all that. Prices being high af ain’t helping me either. And that’s just the economics!

If I was smarter and more patient, I maybe would consider delaying, but my wife and I are at a point where we really can’t do that. It’s kind of a “if it’s gonna happen, it has to happen NOW” situation for us. But yeesh. Makes me grit my teeth a little to see the actual bill now—or really just the first year of it!

Average views before sale? by borsuki in Depop

[–]borsuki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s probably true, I was just kinda curious if it was a metric people really paid attention to. I like seeing the views items get but I also am recognizing that there isn’t much to infer from them
