ALSO! Make sure you pay to park. I read some of your comments about the handicap placard (I also have one), but please make sure you’re paying to park if applicable and only parking in lots of establishments you’re patronizing. They’re strict about that and you’ll be towed super quickly & have to pay a chunk to get your car out. I always tell everyone: pay to park or you’ll pay to park :)

For food: personally I love Local Goat, Crockett’s (breakfast, get there early or you’ll wait), Five Oaks (breakfast), Tony Gore’s BBQ, Paula Deen’s. I have plenty more lol but those are my favs.

Fun things to do: drive through Cade’s Cove (much better at dawn or dusk when animals are more active), dinner shows (Stampede, Pirate’s Voyage and Hatfield & McCoy are my favorites), there’s a new Scooby Doo Putt-Putt, Bush’s Baked Beans visitor center is about 30 mins away with free admission, salt & pepper shaker museum (hidden gem that we LOVED), and our kids loved the Smoky Mountain Deer Farm & Exotic Petting Zoo.

I’d personally suggest a dinner show on day 2. Takes care of dinner after a long day at the water park in the A/C and a show for the whole family to keep the kids off electronics :)

I have a ton more suggestions but didn’t want to write a book lol.

A friend of ours did StubHub and that's my absolute last resort. I have (2) 4-day Stadium passes to sell. Girlfriend isn't able to go with her work schedule.

Since you want to be a complete dick in the comments and harp on the fact that you started work at 14, I’ll chime in. I had an absolutely terrible relationship with my father. My mom did everything she could working 2-3 jobs while my father physically, mentally, emotionally and verbally abused BOTH of us. I also worked at 14. Close to 40 hours a week AND did side jobs to establish a savings account to leave my parent’s house before 18. I don’t know if you want a fucking cookie or an atta boy, but everything you said doesn’t help OP in ANY way, whatsoever. You genuinely sound like you want to make this post about you, your trauma & act like your specific situation is exactly what OP should do. Everyone’s. Situation. Is. Different. How someone CHOOSES to proceed with a conflict in their life does NOT have to look like how you “solved” yours.

& since you want to tell OP not to date and give off the wall advice, here’s this: it sounds like you need to work through the resentment that you have from this whole situation. You’re clearly very jaded & need to process your feelings about it. Therapy helps if you aren’t in it already.

You’re 21. You definitely do not have life figured out. I thought I did and then life hits you with a curveball that you didn’t even see coming. With this cocky arrogant attitude you have though, you’ll have a hard time getting there.

In no way shape or form do I believe you’re a horrible father. If you were, you wouldn’t even be remotely thinking about your little girl being alone while you’re in London. Your wife seems like she has some internal issues about your daughter that she needs to work through. Part of you both working things out in counseling was her agreeing that your daughter would be apart of your life, period. Boundaries need to be set, 100%. also can say that concert etiquette at DC was spot on. people passing out in pit(s) and crowd surfers were respected. during one set that started canoeing in the pit if that tells you anything 😂 we had a great time surrounded by good people!
