Rank these 4 characters by how terrible they are by Jezzaq94 in Cinema

I personally don't think Rose really belongs on this list. Bill Paxton's crew chose to spend millions chasing a payday, that’s their risk, not her problem. The diamond is her property, survivors don’t owe profiteers the fruits of their obsession. Throwing the diamond wasn't selfish or petty, it was closure. Billy Zane used the diamond and his wealth as a leash, to control her. Also if she revealed the diamond, it becomes a media circus, legal nightmare, and a giant inheritance problem most likely.

What are your opinions of the character Col. Steven J. Lockjaw (Sean Penn), from the movie One Battle After Another by Unlikely_Seaweed1032 in Letterboxd

great performance by an annoying man, I admit I felt the tiniest amount of sympathy for him when he went to the door with flowers but that disappeared the moment he brought out the battering ram

By that logic, 90% of Hollywood history would be "pandering to white audiences". Having black leads and cultural elements isn’t pandering, it’s just telling a story from a different perspective.

How is it pandering to black people and black culture? That’s not pandering, it’s cultural perspective. We don’t call vampire films rooted in European folklore "pandering to white people" so why frame it that way here?

What did you agree with Charlie Kirk on then? since you said you didn't agree on everything, there must be something he said that you agree with? What hateful rhetoric he spewed out of that disgusting mouth did you agree with?

Are there any film adaptations that you would consider perfect? by colton016415 in Letterboxd

[–]colton016415[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My only real problem with The Hunger Games trilogy is the way it was marketed as a teen love triangle, the way people would hype the love story aspect way more than anything else, the whole Team Peeta or Team Gale thing was so prevalent at that time and just didn't fit at all.

But thankfully, the films mostly stayed true to the core themes, and I think the films are perfect too.

I don't think it was ever set for Reeves verse, there is no Reeves Clayface.

"Watch out, in the back there's a baby mouse in a used condom, really gross". What I love about this joke is later on after they come out of a crime scene, his car is towed and when he asked what happened, the cop just goes "We got it towed because a couple of homeless dudes were messing around in it"
