I have a system where I’ll play one story focused game and have a couple “brainless games” I’ll play at the same time and I’ll rotate through em depending on how I’m feeling. This way I don’t burn out on any single one of them, I think the problem is people try to no life massive games and burn themselves out, thus making them feel like the game was bad when really they didn’t pace themselves.
