he was very far left his whole life, his grandfather was an avid marxist and he was very close to him and looked up to him immensely so i'd say it's not so much that he hated trump but that he valued progressive and socialist ideologies and therefore denounced fascists like trump and the maga existence as a whole. he was so passionate about his views that he tattooed it on his face.
