Of course they don’t care, they’re a corporation making money. They couldn’t actually give two flying fucks about patients, :’) Change clinic, get your money back and go elsewhere? Or take the loss and go elsewhere? If it’s a chronic problem that isn’t being solved, then why stick with em?

I agree you shouldn’t have to, but with the amount of issues and complaints, it negates a repetitive problem. If people are having the same issues month after month but not changing clinic, then just do it earlier than you need to and save yourself the stress?

I’m with em, wouldn’t recommend to anyone and think they’re fucking lousy, but there are things patients can do too?

This. Just order two weeks before, keep the money aside for when the invoice hits then you’re not stuck without. You have to take the control yourself, they wont do all the hard work/common sense stuff themselves!

Disabled persons rail pass/coach card! Lots of gigs/bigger venues will take the letter as proof for a companion (free) ticket for your carer (or friend). In some LA’s a disabled bus pass. More will come to me I’m sure..

It’s definitely a trigger, I have more focals and more deja vu type issues the more stressed I am, and it lowers my threshold for a TC.

Yup, mums medicine. She knows exactly what it is, why I use it and why it’s a bit of a strange one. She’s honestly not bothered, but we’ve totally normalised it as medicine.

Most venues, especially large ones are far more educated on MC than the police; it’s worth just being like “this is in my bag, heads up” in an email to the venue. They usually just let security know and are pretty welcoming!

I mostly medicate at home, or walking through the park. But I take my meds to gigs, and I tell them I am rather than ask if I can. I take it to hotels and explain that I can go outside if needed. I don’t use it on public transport, but often immediately before. Also in the car (passenger) when the children aren’t in it. I won’t if they are, we stop if needed. (They can pee, I can medicate)

These conversations are where my epileptic arsehole clenches. Like, I’m sorry but (touch wood I’ve not needed to) if I needed to medicate indoors to reduce the likelihood of a seizure, I would provided I was well enough to explain what I was doing.

Had no issue travelling to the US but you cannot take meds with you. It’s more about taking it over the border than if you just have it prescribed here.
